I know this video is 7 months old now but I love the idea! Just set my phone up similarly and I like it a lot. I never liked the black and white color settings so this is a great compromise. Thanks Robert!

You can make everything greyscale if you go to settings > accessibility > displays and text size > color filters > grayscale
@@michaelkossbiel9654 Yeah. But I don’t want to make EVERYTHING grayscale. And I know that iOS 18 allows you to tint your icons, but I messed with the developer beta and the current version is… well… not pretty.

Hey Robert, thanks for the content! Amazing stuff. May I ask how do you change your icon text to black when you have a white background? Mine just has that ugly drop shadow / shading behind the icon text in white and it just looks horrid!
Glad you enjoy it!! Sorry man I don't know how, I think if you use a white wallpaper the cellphone automaticallly changes the text to black for contrast. Or maybe you have your phone set to dark mode?

Questions -
1. I am Gmail user for both personal and work purpose. So can you please share your experience / rationale of using native mail app over Gmail app? Are there any benefits? For context, 70% of my workflow depends on Gmail.
2.Any plan to make a video in future for Podcasts you enjoy and that have improved your life? Like a book video you did earlier. Would be an interesting one, I hope.
3. Another weird video idea (after seeing the Bumble icon) - Have minimalism influenced your dating philosophy / practice, or vice-versa? Apologies for probing into personal space, I just felt it an interesting point for discourse, that's all.

I have Gmail only for work and Apple mail for newsletters and spam. I don’t want to get spam messages on my work mail; that’s it. Why Apple mail? I opened one a while ago while setting up my iCloud account.
Thanks for the video ideas. The podcast one sounds interesting. I’ll add it to my list. About dating, I haven’t thought about it, to be honest. But I guess I try to be intentional about my relationships, though, in the dating scene, it’s a bit tricky.

Thank you for your tips. Im having trouble changing the system font color and my font is white, while yours is black. Home screen is grey, but my font under app is white. My wallpaper is white background, like the photo of yours, and since the font is white, I can barely read. Do you happen to know how you switched your font from white to black?
Hey there, sorry you are having that issue. I don’t know how I did it. I just chose a black and white photo and the phone decided to change the font for black. Maybe trying with different photos? Or always having your phone on dark mode

I never have notifications on buddy, sorry. Maybe that's not a feature with shortcuts.
