German Museums > American Museums
Same. This is the best museum i know and not even one day is enough to see everything
Can only be topped by the Science museum in London perhaps. Pretty special place.
+Tilman Baumann should visit it then! Deutsches is bigger though
Definitely worth a visit.
And the natural history museum is right next to it if you find the time.
Deutsches Museum is bigger I think. That is true.
I think the Aeronautic part of the museum was closed in 2016. If so you have to come again! They have an original V2 for example or a used scramjet... it is awesome!
7:30 this guy skipped the talk about the Faraday cage.
Stupid Brazilian! ahahahahaah!
Jeroonk how do you know that? The Faraday Cage is that electric thing?
I'm literally dying over here OMG hahahaha
Jardiel Santos
Wooosh
Was about to say; how could you possible be surprised that you lose signal after walking into a metal box. Stupid people all over the world.
So the symmetry between the guy in the faraday cage and the dude losing reception in the elevator was was enjoyable. It is remarkable that you happen to catch both of those in the same trip.
His wife warns him that the call would drop.
I visited this museum. It is enormous and the best museum I've ever been to. Simply incredible. They had an entire basement floor themed like a mineshaft, a section with full sized airplanes, and an amazing collection of historic tech. Highly recommend it.
warning for potential visitors: The Aircraft part is being renovated at the moment, it will be re-opened in 2019.
awwwwwwwwwwwwww man
i love the mineshaft part, its incredible
the guy at 7:30 clearly didn't go to the faraday cage demonstration
Faffy Waffle what's that? And how do you know? You speak Portuguese?
It's a joke dude. The elevator acts like a faraday cage because it's made of metal and it blocks electromagnetic waves from passing through.
I love how at 2:40 you start to laugh at the guy getting in the cage
Did you notice the reaction of the girl on the left of the screen to his laughing?
Deutsche's museum is hands down the best museum I've ever been to. It was so awesome seeing it again!
Agreed. Its size is fucking ridiculous. I spent two full days and haven't seen all! The solar clocks on the roof are amazing!
I've been to the Deutsches Museum at least 10 times now and I still feel like I've bearly seen half of what they have on display.
I was born in munich and live there so I can't even count it anymore.
I still discover new stuff every time I go there
I've 14 or 15 visits to my name pre-cv, and i still think i've missed something, because every time i go, there's yet another detail that pops in.
This museum, is jam packed with stuff, amazing place. I think i'd spend a few weeks there, pondering on each room.
too bad you were there when the Aerospace part was closed, you need to re-visit, lol
I love how the submarines were underground and the boats were at ground level. Proper placement!
I've spent 2 full days at this museum in 2007 and still had a lot I have not seen!
At 1:26 you *know* it’s actually _really loud_ and just clipping, but you really realise _just how loud_ when it stops and the ambient noise fades back in with the echo. Incredible.
My parents often went to that museum with me and my siblings when I was very young. The first time with me, they had to leave the presentation with the Faraday cage etc because I started crying :D :D When we went there again a year or so later, I was too scared to go in there again and I actually haven't seen it since. But I definitely should go there again sometime in the near future. Now that I'm some 20 years older, I think I can manage without bursting into tears :D
Wusel I was similar. When the man said that we should protect our ears I literally held my ears as much as I could for the entire Demonstration. I was about 4 Years old I think. ;)
Come on. Deutsches musem > German musems. That museum is just insane.
Wer ist noch alles deutsch?
83 millions
Und ich 😁
1:15 scared me because I was currently falling asleep lol
The orange underwater station at 6:35 really hit me.
I grew up near that thing, when I was around 10 I'd drive past it on a boat about a dozen times every weekend.
I mean the real one, Helgoland 1
This museum is freaking huge. Sadly nothing about the underground part. I thought I would never get out there again. One could easily spend a whole day in this museum.
Kevin Kleebusch more like a week
I did. And that very often...
I spent two full days and it still wasn't enough. :)
With a reasonably pace 3-4 Days ;-) We used to visit every year with our graduating class. Don´t miss the chemistry show when it opens again in 2021!
My school was directly over the river Isar, i was there many times and have still not seen everything
You should visited the technick Museum Sinsheim ! They have like the best technic collection in europe
As a german that understood what that guy said at 0:33 i completely lost it when Destin got scared (1:22)
he did warn in English as well though! I guess there's no way to be prepared for this though. Been there, it IS really loud :D
Itchibara yh I understood it too...that sound was so loud !!
Yes, I live in Munich and saw it once and it's really loud
Couple this with VR somehow and boom! Really cool channel! Thanks man!
Killing-Time That wouldn’t work
It would work, you just need to record the audio from even more points and have a 360° camera setup
Pyrrha Nikos It still wouldn’t work since CZcams doesn’t support such thing yet.
360° videos? Hell yes it does!
Hi Dustin,
I'm a huge fan of your channels AND I'm an employee of the Deutsches Museum in Munich.
I'd like to invite you to visit the Deutsches Museum again. When you were in Munich half of the Museum was closed due to renovation works. Now this part of the museum has reopened in a brand new apperance.
You could expect the exhibitions aviation, astronautics, energy -motors, agriculture, health and med-tec, image script codes, electronics and much more.
Feel free to contact me via youtube.
Keep on your amazing journey through science and technology.
Man, I’m glad I stumbled across this channel, these videos are awesome! Especially when you have headphones that you can hardly tell are even on, just makes it so real, thank you for the videos
too short :(
During the lockdown I have missed going to this museum so much :/ The day before we went into total lockdown again me and my new college friends spent ovrt 6 hours here
Well that piano the sound unbelievable
I love our museums :)
Aww yes!! You saw one of the best shows in the museum!
The guy that couldnt figure out that the elevator is a very bad spot for cell signal's was hilarious. Ello? Ello? Ello?
Oh god my ears exploded when that electricity started
Dafuq! That's awsome. I realy thought, I was there. As an addition, I'm from Germany and I understand everything. This is awsome!
The way the camera shakes at 1:21is amusing
Holy crap. Watching this Video in VR with reliasticly reassembling audio is just stunning. Getting on-onboard another persons perception right now! I love it! Please just update the FPS to a little higher frequency. :)
Listening to this on my Oppo PM-2's was incredible. Loving the series Destin
By far the best museum I've ever been!
Now I want go here.
7:40 was an faraday cage :)
This is such a great video. I really want to go there now. Next time, when youre in germany, you should visit the Technikmuseum Speyer. its all about the history of vehicles (Trains, Plains and boats. Definetly a sight to see
A Brazilian family @7:18!!
Ariel Wollinger how do u know?
@@thetechnoking Simple, we speak Portuguese too.
@@saito125 hell yeah. I'd sream something in portuguese
i was at the Deutsches Museum it's huge,i've spent at least half an hour before i understood how big it was Deutsches Museum>every other museum
LOL! I'm watching from Brazil and suddenly Brazilian folks got into the elevator speaking Portuguese =)
Lovely place, my favourite Museum
Whats the piano piece called played at 8:30 and forth?
Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Romanze (Andante)
Just adding: it’s Mozart! - In case that wasn’t obvious xD
The audio is so much better now!
This is what I love about Germany. If you go to any public place you will always hear so many languages. There was Russian for example.
Wish these were longer, great stuff, looking forward to more!
omg... you visited this musuem 5 months after me
Ahhhh, I've been there a few years ago. That place is amazing. A must do for eny person
Me watching this in 2020 where this museum got so much more cool stuff i'm missing in this video so hard right now :C
Very nice!
Great place and great episode! Just a little short >_
woa....these electricity room is so nice!
I think that raising frame rate would enhance the experience even more.
Please release a full version
I was born in Germany.😊
2:30 Farady cage number one - 7:25 Farady cage number two :-)
greetings from germany :D
You just walked past the "8th Worldwonder" at minute 8. Its quite an impressive mashine and was on display at the world fair in (not sure exactly) 1918.
There you go Destin, you have to get Samrter every Day
Im from germany and I'have been thete
love this thanks for sharing
My passion for human space exploration began there!
another location for Sound Trailer: Steamtown in Scranton PA
You missed the theremin @8:40 ... the big one on the left of the big display case ... it has a pedal and it sounds pretty damn sweet.
When Destin shows the animation and lowers sound of one headphone I always think that my headphones broke.
I loved the video Destin! question of the day is: Why do some people run up stairs?
RIP headphones
RIP Ears. That's what it felt like in real life. Notice I jumped.
+SmarterEveryDay I can imagine :D
well he said its gonna be loud :P
9:30 "can you hear me now?"
Destin, another great video! (despite the fact my ears bleed. Hahaha!)
Little short but it was fun to watch. Specially that ghost playing on a piano. :)
I love this museum! My favorite thing there is the portable jet turbine powered water pump for fire fighting.
Dude I have been there for maybe 4 times or so, always interesting :)
1:23 I should have trusted you. I lost temporarily a 25% of my hearing.
Yay, Germany 😌💞
Yeah went there a few times, and just because this museum has this loud show, not every "german museum is loud"...
No phone singal can get in an elevator :D 7:20 check out that man talking :D
Thanks bud 🇩🇪😂
I am from Germany
I have had an annual pass for a long time, always worth a visut, ecen if only the temporal exhibitions are new, just a great museum. However, I think that the Smithsonian Museums in Washington are also pretty good, but most museums in America aren't that good, I agree.
😎 video! Please send sound traveller to Star Ship launch. Please, pretty please!
cool :)
does anyone know the name of the song playing on the automatic piano?
Wth they have a music part ?!?! i've been there over 10 times and still never saw that one lmao
Cool tour, but in a museum it is mostly quiet so the video is mostly quiet. :D
OOOH I WAS THERE. I REMEMBER THE LIGHTNING THINGY!
And it's so weird. I can't understand german anymore xD like I need to concentrate...
Not all but many are
1:26 I think I'm partially deaf now
Gut das ich alles Verstehe hahhah
Anyone know the name of that classical piece around 8:00. its amazing
CrossXfire45 Hupfeld-Phonoliszt-Violina
Hey Destin! This is Josh. I'm an American MK (missionary kid) living in Brazil most of my life. Do you know that guy that got on the elevator at the end of the video? He's Brazilian! I couldn't believe it when I heard him speaking Portuguese!
joshgringo this is quite common in bigger german cities. Especially in München
Did you film the area with the rockets and spacecrafts?
It is closed at the moment, due to re-open in 2019
when have you been in Munich?
I like the Deutsches Museum and was there multiple times. By the way it means German Museum.
Seeing the world from your height...
You're tall.
Oof... i cant believe that you didNt made a regular Video on this Museum.. :(
It may sound weird, but im from germany and I never went to the Deutsches Museum :D
verry nice but with a 360 camera it would be better :)
"Hope to've saved you a plane-ticket" .... ahhh thets not how it works i hope? :D
OMG, mini heart attack here 1:23
07:18 - I'm here at the Deutsches Museum, didn't waste time on that Faraday cage crap, I'll skip straight to the... Hello?...Hello?
