Every state should do the same.
I love the way he is the leader of restoring people lives. I love it!! He. Righteous man. Wow!
You have to get the clowns in the federal government to take it off a level 1 controlled substance heroin is level two cocaine is level two or three
@@hassanas.benjamin3818 Lols, no he ain't. Look at Baltimore.
Taking a minor misdemeanor offense off your record, is he giving everyone their money back for fines, how about another $1000 a day if you did jail time. Show me the money.
He's about to rob us at the MVA.
Bottom line, he just saved the state a bunch of money. And.. it was the right thing to do.
he has to make sure those convictions are actually ERASED from people's record
That’s what “Pardoned” means the conviction has been overturned and eradicated from public records. This is absolutely awesome, now people who was convicted can vote, and apply for public service jobs
@@gregd4633 That is not at all what that means, but nice guess. www.tdcj.texas.gov/bpp/faq/ClemencyProcess.html
@@gregd4633 I think they could vote already.
@@gregd4633 Literally copied from google: "It does not expunge, remove, or erase the crime from your record."
This is in time for the election…he just needs to promise and bang on with race care and equity and bad white people and blah blah blah.
IT WASN'T LOGICAL to lock people up for a tiny amount of weed. A waste fo taxpayers $$$
It was to make private prisons rich and Black people suffer!
@@MPR2 white people got arrested for weed also ,dont take all the credit........
Illegal Drugs are Illegal Drugs!!! This Racist black Governor can get a new job in jail!
@@MPR2No, it's because these dopers BROKE THE LAW!!!!❤
I'm sorry, but you expect me to believe these people were only in prison for weed? Usually it's a plead down from another charge.
Smart Move! It’s utterly despicable that there are 175K convicted for marijuana. That is just very sad for this nation
Very sad
This needs to be done NATION WIDE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never heard of you but you are such a light in a dark situation. You are freeing so many lives and giving back black freedom. I will never forget this.
Btw why do you think it was only black people he pardoned? Imagine if a white person said that.
Lols, as if the black community will do better as a result of this. Soft bigotry of low expectations.
Good, now they can become productive citizens.
Bravo, this is a great start. I hope other states learn This is a positive step for all the citizens that have been brutalized by marijuana convictions. And the marijuana provision, we did it on alcohol years ago.
I’ve tried it, don’t like it. I don’t smoke it. I don’t drink either. But, way to go Maryland. You got this one right. This is really the best idea. I still won’t smoke it but I believe that others should be able too.
RESPECT!
Maybe he can now try putting murderers and carjackers IN JAIL?
And don't forget the meth sellers.
No one isnt not putting those people in jail!!
@@micah9096 no cash bail is letting people out almost immediately. Look it up.
That's not his job! That job belongs to the police and the courts!
Well he made room in the jail for actual criminals now.
This is great. This may help the fact that we, as a nation have 25% of the incarcerated people in the world, despite the U. S. Only having about 4% of the world's population.
Our citizens aren't meaner, or more criminal minded than people in other countries.
Good luck, all you people who were jailed for a roach. Best of luck to you . ☮️💋
The right thing to do!
I’ve been watching this man from across the country for a few yrs! He’ll be president one day! Smooth operator
Let's get him to run NOW can we? Now is the right time.
Then the countries gonna be even more f'd than it is now.
This is good.
He should also expunge the convictions, too! Does the pardon expunge their records & are there programs in place to help them find jobs & emotionally adjust?
Yes that's what a pardon does
Set fathers free from prison !!
People don't go to prison for cannabis, drug dealers do. Only the intent to distribute lands you in jail, not a quarter bag, those people have felonies they will remain in prison, lmao you've been bamboozled again by the Democrats.
Convictions make ut harder for everyone getting a job sxcept for President, how absurd is that?
GOOD FOR HIM
Great news. Common sense.
Brave, strong and well done.
I am having a weed party in Maryland to celebrate
Yeah, he should run for President...
This is what progressive leaders do.
Forgiving and assisting people gain redemption is what real Christians do.
God Bless You Wes Moore!
I don't even mess with weed but anyway..GOOD!!😊
Great. Now please replace those individuals with shoplifters and repeat DUI offenders.
What do you mean?
I take to mean that those individuals should have been the ones convicted and incarcerated for those type of actual crimes and not marijuana. Too many get away for worse than marijuana. I hope that is what was meant.
Forgiveness❤
Make the pardon country wide
Great!
Looks like a future democratic presidential candidate to me.
A basketball american that lets people get away with the consequences of their actions? Sounds like a democrat ticket
Does this mean that the pardoned will be subject to the new draft being implemented?
This is a righteous man. Havent seen one in my entire life in politics. I appreciate him. He isndoing the right thing. Hats off to this young man. Hopefull the devils will follow but i doubt it
❤❤❤❤ great news it's about time
Thank you. This will ensure primarily our black brothers and a few of our sisters will have access to the financial and educational resources needed to live in decency. Now this is the start to accountability, being reasonably responsible in response to grave injustice and hypocrisy. Yes there should be compensation. Not only for cannabis, but also for other racist convictions to disproportionately get rid of competition, oppress and disenfranchise.
Beautiful!!!!! Thank you!!!!
Good job Governor!God bless you!
Great news. This is great.
That's great. There are alot of people in there with non-violent crimes and using, doing more time than 🍇 and p3deo. Maybe if he can make room he can keep carjackers and these thieves in there
Thanks Governor Moore.. I wish all states can do the same❤❤❤
That’s awesome 👏 history in progress certified method
Crazy how alcohol is just normalized but throughout many states marijuana is deemed as evil.
As he should!
Good for you; this should have been done throughout the country many years ago. Not saying that drug abuse is good, it’s not; but minor drug offenses should just be fined.
Thank you Sir! Not one of them or no anyone but this disproportionately affects Blk Men!!!!!
nope.we white people get in just as much trouble thank you
This will make the prison industrial complex mad!!😅😅😅😅
This is awesome you have blessed so many families and the Most High will bless you sir 😢😢😢😢, I’m not living in Maryland but so many oppressed families will be restored!! I love it 😍 maybe I’ll move here!!!
now now he has to pardon that bullsh*t convictions for "resisting arrest"
That will always be a last resort excuse for law enforcement, its a safety tool for a selective arrest.
About time, thank you Governor
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Now is time to issue pardons nationwide. Thank you Gov Moore.
Read this guys book. Glad people like him are in places of power.
Great news !!!
That’s a true leader!
Well done sir 🙏
He sounds like a young Obama 😮
He's an actor. Reading his script. Now Governor. 🤔🧐 Hollywood playing their role. 🤡
@@ES-bl1wy So yea, a young Obama.
@@stanleyclark923 He did a show called Beyond Belief. 🤔

yes
Have to be done Nationwide
Great news!!!!!
He's a sharp brother!
Someone needs some votes!
How do you see who got pardon and who didn’t
Much love 💕 and respect 🙏🏾⚖️💯‼️
Awesome!
I'm really grateful, but, like... I can't remember what I was convicted of.
Will he STOP the unwarranted, reported indentured servitude/enslavement, financial oppression, quiet killings happening through the personal hands of Baltimore City's Mayor?
This is a beautiful thing!
YES SIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first to stand up
How do I find out if I'm on the list of pardons,I plead guilty for manufacturing in 1993 , they had no product, just 4 bucket and dirt ,I plead guilty for the recommendation of no jail time fines and classes,am I on this list ? Does anyone know,?
Outstanding!!!
Talk about irony , his timing for this "pardon/release "of men/people of color at the same time as "selective service " draft bill has been passed
But does this expunge the record?
Just in time for the election!
Not his. So that excuse kind of dies flat. Also if it was so what?
In time…. Uh hello states have been doing this for a couple years.. how many legal states are there now?
@@stephanbruno7249 Is there an election coming up? Are there Democrats running in November? Is there an extremely tight Senate race where the Republican ex-Governor is expected to win? Your Statement doesn't hold any water!
@@jonnyrock41 LOL! Like I said.... Just in time for the election. 8-))))
@@stephanbruno7249 Democrat pandering for young people , dont get played thats all this is , even though Im for it.
Sad.
SERIOUSLY, the best move of a governor in a long time! Those convicted of crimes that are no longer considered crimes should have been let out already --but at least it's happening!! Free up the prisons, let's get even & women out there working and helping our communities. Knowing there r folks doing like 20 years for possession of just pot is RIDICULOUS! Murderers get 5-10 all the time...I'm so glad marijuana is being recognized as a medical miracle for many of us! We need to focus on bigger things. SHOUT OUT GOV!!!! U run for Pres? I'll vote for ya!
I know the dealers and smokers are yoooo BRUH,u the man!! 😂😂😂😂
Coolest thing I've ever heard. That's Government working for the people.
How about taking accountability for your own actions, nobody forced a joint to their lips. Stop yelling everybody hates me.
Been poped 13 times in Nedraska, for holding.
Maryland Governor .. outstanding 👏… respect Australia
And Michael Knaapen was this governor's fund raiser. Protect your children Maryland.
👏👏👏
MARYLAND
Yay!
Run for president next.
Now will they now have to sign up for the draft?
Impressive!!!
Good for him
States will do the same
Good!
Maybe Wisconsin can take a hint and finally change some laws, we have nothing for Marijuana legalization, we might be the last state to change these laws , even though almost 80% of residents want full legalization. And Evers gets blocked at every effort for any changes, no matter what they are . So sad
Good!!!
👏🏽 👑
Excell Excellent!🎉
Im just wondering how many of those convictions were the "lesser" charge in a plea deal? Or, how many were involved in a traffic stop, under the influence. Hmmmm......hope im wrong but time will tell.
All of them.
Well done Governor!!!! Love! Freedom! Logic! Common Sense! Kindness! Forgiveness! MORE MOORE PLEASE!!!! :D
This gave me chills for some reason. This is dope! (Pun intended) 😂 Now the country needs to decriminalize and declassify it as a schedule anything so us CDL drivers can get down on that wonderful medicine 💪🏽 Love me some Mary.
What are we going to do about the harassment we're about to get so they refill the prisons cause they're not having guard layoffs. Can we military skip rank training in a prison guard to military pipeline? Can guards that are voted by guys in be their teacher/ job coach/ P.O. on the outside? Can guys be voted by inmates into classes to be thier counselors on the outside?
