treehuggerkyle ya I know. There was a comment here before where a guy said that the cameraman didn't get faked and didn't know wha Kyle Tyler was talking about. That's why I replied what I did. However that comment must have been deleted
6:33 The bunt for a 2B by Robinson Cano should have been reviewed. He was out for stepping outside the box. It’s the first thing I noticed when I saw this in real time. 🤷🏽♀️
Michael Edenfield play at 5:57 should definitely have been an infield fly rule; there has to be less than two outs and runners on first and second. Umpiring fail
Basically it's to prevent the fielding team from intentionally letting a pop up ball drop in the infield, which would give them the chance for an unfair double or even triple play with 0-1 outs, where all runners are forced (must run to give way for the next base runner)
For those wondering about why the infield fly rule was not imposed on some of these clips: "The rule applies only when there are fewer than two outs, and there is a force play at third base (i.e., when there are runners at first and second base, or the bases are loaded). In these situations, if a fair fly ball is in play, and in the umpire's judgment is catchable by an infielder with ordinary effort, the umpire shall call "infield fly" (or more often, "infield fly, batter is out") and the batter will be out regardless of whether the ball is actually caught." So only having a runner on first isn't enough to bring in the infield fly rule. The only subjective part of this is the "umpire's judgment" part, and I'm assuming that's why the infield fly wasn't called at 5:52. Personally, I think that one should have been an infield fly.
Yup, its games like these that are the most fun to watch, at least for me. The game that is my favorite out of the ones I've attended my team lost, but man they fought like mad to hold the other team and try to catch up. The game that I hate the most... my team won by so much it was like the other team wasn't even there. It was so boring I left at the 5th inning and looked up the game results the next day. My team won... and I wasn't happy they did, that sucks!
There are a couple of plays that I thought were going to be in here that were not... 😢 Specifically a couple of Dustin Pedroia. Like when he danced around the catcher in Tampa Bay to score and when the ball took a luck bounce off of the wall after an over throw and he was there to back it up and throw the runner out! Definitely love the one of his heads up base running though!!:-)
Question from a former softball player: So, we must tag the runners to consider them out (no "burn" bases like softball)? If so, why it seems that base 1 can be burnt, unlike other bases?
When Abreu threw his 1st baseman's glove to the pitcher, an umpire could have decided that the pitcher was using an illegal glove. The out would have counted, as the only penalty is to remove the glove from play. I don't think that would ever happen, but Angel Hernandez is still employed, and never underestimate him.
Innovative Interests if the ball jumped out of the glove in midair he would’ve gotten so much shit, that sounds like something that would happen to me lol
on saturday this week my team mate dove under the first baseman as he went for the tag instead of the bag and my team mate ended up being safe and later scored. the first baseman fielded the ball and stood on the line, my team mate stopped and then dove under him and the fielder did nothing but stand there
9:38 "Molina with a smile" lol he looks pissed

@@AstralHunter24 No, it is illegal under HS rules but is legal under ML rules.
“Hacky Sack does pay off!”
Most iconic line ever said by anyone.
lol
4:16 fake so good it got the camera man😂
How is he wrong. The cameraman panned to first, yet the guy held the ball. The cameraman got fooled. Idk what you're talking about
@Sam Plautz - That's exactly his point. The guy with the ball fooled everyone, including the cameraman.
treehuggerkyle ya I know. There was a comment here before where a guy said that the cameraman didn't get faked and didn't know wha Kyle Tyler was talking about. That's why I replied what I did. However that comment must have been deleted
Great group of highlights. Man I love baseball.

3:00 Baez ran like that guy was his arch rival lol, Javey Baez is my favorite cubs player
Big league ball players know what bases are occupied and when to let the ball drop that kinda stuff makes me smile
these clips make me realize one thing: I have no idea how the infield fly rule works.

@@SanjiEastBlue That's what I thought... but that's exactly what happened in at least one of these clips... ?
@@KutuluMike I think some of these plays happened before the IFR existed
less than two outs, two or more runners on (one must be at first).
Keep up the good work and thanks for the video.

same
PlayerIdentity yes it was. The infield fly rule has been around for a long time.
Jamie Hobbs I think it wasn’t called cause it didn’t go high enough in the opinion of the umps.
You make my day with these videos. You're the most underappreciated channel out there. Keep it up man.

Ja zz No it's because I legit like the videos he puts out. I love baseball and he produces high quality highlights
Ja zz I mean, I liked it.
Why does none of this happen when I go to a baseball game
Some plays might not even be allowed anymore 🤷 idk but it is funny
This almost always happens in a giants game

I loved that he dived in at the home to get a point. Never seen that at a baseball game, also never seen it in the mlb
these plays are crazy
2:11 red guy: can’t touch dis
What about Mark Buehrle's between the legs flip, after it hit off his leg on opening day from about 8 years ago.

NICE PLAYS!!!

So sick
Does the first one remind anyone else of when Willie Mays Hayes goes over Jack Parkman in Major League II?
The first one, I think is the best play that I never had seen,
did anyone else thought he said something else at 7:17
They’re on fire
I already watch Apollo with Tim hanks. I'm good thanks.
Wow Music 🎶 MLB 👍🏾
Some edits too short to get the full play.

Just became one of my favorite players mlb
Here's an idea: Best underdogs or most underestimated players.
1:40 the ump signals foul, the fielder left the field before catching the ball, so while creative, was null.
Do former teammates facing off (pitcher vs Hitter)

Wow! These are some great clips, some I have seen before and many I haven't. I wonder who holds the record for bunt doubles.
Im a mets fan, and im not sure if 9:19 was even intentional. that is how bad my mets are.
I wish those smart plays can happen in every baseball game
Wow!!!!!!!
I was expecting this video to be a Simmons/Phillips highlight reel to be honest
this is cool
You should take the HD out of the titles. Low-qualit 360p clips.
Can you do best statcast moments
Missing Manny Machado's fake throw (similar to the Fernandez play, but at 3rd) and Mark Buehrle's through-the-legs glove flip.
I LOVE IT.I SAID WAAAA
Imma do this moves on my next softball game 💀
Do you play select softball?

1:06 why not use soccer in baseball?😂

First off, tumble. Secondly, no it doesn't.

9:35 That wasn't a smart play that's fundamentals.
Daevyd Jae the title says smart/lucky so I’m thinking that’s going under the lucky section even it’s fundamentals
Altuve 👍
