Have you watched the Yebba - My Mind dance? There's not even a beat on that song but the dance is so powerful! I prefer when they dance to slower music. It has so much emotion and personality to it. Compared to their battle stuff imo. They don't need to battle anyone imo. Story telling through dance is their true calling.

Laurent's freestyle to "je suis Malade" (Lara Fabian) and "LA Boheme" (Charles Aznavour) are the reason he is the human form of music. His versatility, and interpretation of lyric and melody is second to none. Also, Larry Street dancing to "On my mind" (yebba) and his performance to "Iron Sky" by Paolo Nutini. ART in its highest form. These 2 brothers have certainly left their mark in the world.

Repost: (hit delete instead of cancel after deciding not to edit...grrr): I know many say Larry is The beat killer but, after 10 years of watching them, I've concluded they both kill the beat. Their styles can make it less obvious. Larry's sharp precise movements make it easier to notice the beat killing and his song selections often helps. Lau infuses various forms of dance/cultures which can make it less obvious (which proves he is a musicality genius); and, he captures small nuances such as a cello sound. They both can do each other's styles to a degree but have mastered beautifully; and, prefer their own styles. I love it b/c it "gifts" something uniquely different for their audience and compliments their twinning - which is breathtaking. When Bucket Hat Larry makes an entrance it's game over. He's also a genius of musicality. When Lau decides to do a Chakra take over, be ready to have your emotions snatched & reevaluate your life's purpose lol.

@Katerina Greece We love them all together. Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to say that in solo, they are not excellent, but in duet, they are on another level. Their different styles match so perfectly,and their strong connection makes them the best duo in the world. Honestly after Nicolas Brothers, I have never seen a perfect duo like that. And the irony is that the twins are also called Nicolas. I remember telling Larry at a workshop I attended that they were the reincarnation of Brothers Nicolas and he said he was honored.
This freestyle from Larry and Laurent Les Twins is a very moving, powerful, mesmerising performance. 💯 It pulls at your heart and leaves you breathless. Couldn't believe what I was watching. They are fabulous dancers. Haven't stop watching them since I found their videos 9 months ago. Helped me a great deal. God bless you both. 🙏🏻❤
Wow, what a journey they both took us on. I wish with all the cell phones recording that we could see this from all the different angles. There's something Larry did that caused combustion in the room but we couldn't see it. Wow- Laurent- Larry, God bless you nephews💪🏽💜💥🙏🙏✅
I'm just thinking aloud here but in my opinion this is probably one of the greatest moments between these brothers ever captured on film and we're very lucky-here's why: First, the song. This track by Kwabs is such an emotional song in tone, tempo and lyrics. It's generally rare for them to freestyle to the EXACT same song. Each brother often has his preference and if you follow them long enough you can often tell which brother is dancing just by hearing the type of track. Next, their fluidity and interchangeability on this track is impeccable. Laurent starting, Larry sliding in, Laurent pulling him back by the sleeve and that change over with the t-shirts. All of it happened so seamlessly and fluidly. Finally, probably the best part that you might have missed if you weren't really paying attention, you saw it, but did you really SEE it? It happens at 1:30. This is a move that is Laurent's specialty and Larry tries it but he gets out of balance i.e. he won't be able to bring himself back up. Laurent immediately notices this, puts out a finger to help Larry lift back up just before Larry's right hand has to touch the ground for balance. Right after this at 1:35 I don't know if it's intentional or not but it looks as if Larry turns around to nod a thank you to Laurent for helping him. They connect when they dance but this kind of connection here, where it's like it's on another level, is rare. If you want to see another example one that easily comes to mind is the Juste Debout 2011 Semi-Final at 5:20 in that video and the freestyle from there. There's even an interview with the brothers where they talk about this specific moment. I think it's Laurent that says it felt like they were connected telepathically and afterwards he remembers it being so intense he was completely exhausted and drained because of it.
And one last thing to add about us being lucky this moment was captured on film, look at the reaction of the old lady with her hand covering her mouth and they guy on the floor who looks in shock watching Laurent towards the end. Not only did they get to see it, the felt something in that moment. Something we're only about to get a hint of watching this recording. Seeing it live would have been so much more intense.

@Katerina Greece We love them all together. Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to say that in solo, they are not excellent, but in duet, they are on another level. Their different styles match so perfectly,and their strong connection makes them the best duo in the world. Honestly after Nicolas Brothers, I have never seen a perfect duo like that. And the irony is that the twins are also called Nicolas. I remember telling Larry at a workshop I attended that they were the reincarnation of Brothers Nicolas and he said he was honored.

To be in that space and blessed with this, my god! This is sheer poetry...I felt this in my soul...
I'm just thinking aloud here but in my opinion this is probably one of the greatest moments between these brothers ever captured on film and we're very lucky-here's why:
First, the song. This track by Kwabs is such an emotional song in tone, tempo and lyrics. It's generally rare for them to freestyle to the EXACT same song. Each brother often has his preference and if you follow them long enough you can often tell which brother is dancing just by hearing the type of track.
Next, their fluidity and interchangeability on this track is impeccable. Laurent starting, Larry sliding in, Laurent pulling him back by the sleeve and that change over with the t-shirts. All of it happened so seamlessly and fluidly.
Finally, probably the best part that you might have missed if you weren't really paying attention, you saw it, but did you really SEE it? It happens at 1:30. This is a move that is Laurent's specialty and Larry tries it but he gets out of balance i.e. he won't be able to bring himself back up.
Laurent immediately notices this, puts out a finger to help Larry lift back up just before Larry's right hand has to touch the ground for balance.
Right after this at 1:35 I don't know if it's intentional or not but it looks as if Larry turns around to nod a thank you to Laurent for helping him.
They connect when they dance but this kind of connection here, where it's like it's on another level, is rare.
If you want to see another example one that easily comes to mind is the Juste Debout 2011 Semi-Final at 5:20 in that video and the freestyle from there. There's even an interview with the brothers where they talk about this specific moment. I think it's Laurent that says it felt like they were connected telepathically and afterwards he remembers it being so intense he was completely exhausted and drained because of it.
And one last thing to add about us being lucky this moment was captured on film, look at the reaction of the old lady with her hand covering her mouth and they guy on the floor who looks in shock watching Laurent towards the end. Not only did they get to see it, the felt something in that moment. Something we're only about to get a hint of watching this recording. Seeing it live would have been so much more intense.
