What in the absolute fuck is Tim talking about. Bisping won the title in 2016 and the Yoel fight was in 2014. Is he making this story up to make his career sound better or does he legit not remember?
Edit: I’m a service member and have always been a fan of Tim. But this just doesn’t add up to the integrity I’ve always associated with him.

hes always been known to stretch his stories a bit lol. Idt any of his combat stories are fake but the way he describes his fighting career makes me wonder how much he stretches the truth to make himself more badass. Regardless, hes had a badass life and i dont think anyone doubts that so idk why he feels the need to lie unless he just has some sort of cte lol

@@gt3072 yeah dude. Ultimately I give him a pass. He’s a legend, a warrior, and a long standing fighter advocate. One of the only people who didn’t jump ship after UFC put pressure on unionization efforts (think Donald Corrone, GSP, etc). And on top of that, he got totally fucked in the Yoel fight. Still though, just want to be fair and give criticism where it’s due.

If you get caught doing it its illegal, intentional eye pokes and nut shots also happen cuz you only get one usually before its points and it can change the whole fight completely. Yoel took a extra 30 seconds for getting almost ko by a illegal move and was didn't get touched before those hits, id say it was a more than even trade and yoel didn't complain about it for 10 years like tim

FOR AN EXTRA 15 SECONDS. he's acting like he had all day to recover, bounce back, and put beat him to a bloody pile. it was 15 seconds, if that. Please someone get the replay video to this guy, He is totally talking about a different fight maybe the one he does on UFC 4 EA Sports edition. First round he got smoked bleeding from his nose since the beginning of the round, up to the point in which he grabs Romero's glove and hits him his only positive remark was his takedown defese that was being decent, he found that shot and it's cool....Per John McCarthy when he called Romero to fight, he realized that "The Cutman" (UFC employee) those work for the organization no for Yoel or anybody else, he had left a huge amount of Vaseline over Romero's eyebrow that extended to the side of Romero's head obviously a mistake when he tried to close the cut Romero's had, the problem was, that the Cutman had already left and when Big John realized about it and he did not want to clean it to avoid the cut opening, which was what happened, McCarthy wiped it and the cut opened right away, did he gain 30 seconds of course he did. Was he planning on doing it NO, was a big fuck up of UFC on having an inexperience cutman work on such a big event. He claims he is moving on but 10 years later he still talks about it...DUDE you cannot go to the Athletic Commision because you are going to hear the same, he beat you and you suck...you cannot even get the facts right..Weidman was the champion then...and by the way you were ranked number 6 and Yoel number 11...
Here’s something Tim is not talking about… while Yoel was resting, so was Tim. So he also had the extra 15 seconds of rest🤷🏻
Tim you cheated dude. You went off really stretched the story and left the most important thing out, you held his glove. The fight was going to play out the same way it did whether you held his glove or not. You got knocked out.
I don't know if Tim is just one of those guys that misremembers things over time or if he's got some kind of CTE brain damage from his fights or his service but he always gets this time line wrong, he's told the story multiple times, Bisping was not the champion when he lost the fight to Romero it was Chris Wiedman. Bisping did not get the belt until 2 years later.
