The FASTEST way to get an M4A1 in DayZ vanilla!

- This is absolutely the fastest way to get an M4 in DayZ on a vanilla server. Basically, go to Rify, the toxic zone as a fresh spawn. Run in and check the first 3-4 crates and run out with whatever you find. You will die unless you have a clean blood bag, or POX antidote. However, you can respawn and run back to your loot. Even easier with a buddy.
NOTE: Since this is offline some of the loot in the containers such as the hardhat would likely not be there in an online game, but the M4s do spawn in those containers.
Forgot to say how you gotta stash it someplace safe and respawn to be able to keep it before your character succumbs to the blood loss and illness gained by this.
If you die in the woods right outside the zone, you might be the first one to get back to it. Not super likely that someone else finds it first but it is possible. I haven't done it much myself, since I would always get a car first as a fresh spawn but it is possible.

@@braincube013 Honestly to me it's not a very fun method, personally. Even if you do find an M4 and run out, and respawn and grab it again, you are unlikely to have ammo, mags, or optics. But it can be faster than finding a full NBC suit for sure. It can take 30+ mins depending on the respawns you get.
Use a blood bag and bring rags
I usually just find some NBC gear and I walk out with atleast 1x M4 1x SVD and some other gun. So good :) then i hit inland
Hey man nice video, I just wanted to ask I love playing on vanilla servers, but the only issue is the loot. Even when going to military bases I found close to no loot. However, I played a while ago, how is your experience with loot on official servers?
M4s and AKMs only spawn at the toxic zones, VSD/LAR/AUG only spawns at help crashes, so mili bases won't even have the best guns. The problem with official servers is the hackers don't get banned. We play community vanilla, like Spaggie Chernarus. We like to repair a car, drive to Tisy for NBC gear, then go loot rify for M4s and high-tier loot. Hope that helps!
@@dayzbrotherhood that’s pretty lame considering they only made the m4 a exclusive spawn for region immersion since the helis are American and it made no sense spawning a US gun in Russian grounds, what kind of immersion is the gas? Why does artillery spawn loot it makes no sense again.
@@vSwaGGerMoDz found an aug in a Russian helicopter and Russian convoy with an American humvee in it, would make sense that the armys have ragtag vehicles salvaging the other sides equipment
@@thebathroombandit yall gotta edit the types.xml but if yall playing on someone elses server then no cigar. stock loot spawn suck ass, and even after a day of fiddling around and watching tutorials, i think i barely made any difference, made the game spawn 100 m4a1, the same for the ak, went to tisy, searched it like 50 times but nothing. this game is a big headache
I used to do this all the time once I found out m4s spawned in gas zones
I can believe it, I wonder how many people did. I don't think it became the meta though because part of the fun of dayz is the adventure :D

I looted the whole ship twice now.. With an NBC suit. So I took my sweet time. And I only found pistols, clothes and a lot of clips/ammo for guns I didn't have. Very frustrating

where are the other m4 spawns?
As of 1.23 experimental I believe the permanent gas zones only. Good guns can spawn at heli crashes and military convoys, but not M4s.

As of 1.23 experimental, they can be reliably found in the permanent gas zones! Just gotta get the NBC gear to make it easier, but this method will still work if you feel like it instead!

That works too, I have 3 M4's on official 1.19 in three days. NE airfield or Tizzy to get a suit and enough canisters & charcoal. Leave an alt outside the gas and go in once a day. Three day haul so far (3 m4's, 4 suppressors, 4 starlight scopes, 3 Russian night scopes, 12 tatical belts, 3 x 40rndrs, 3 assault helmets & countless VSS's but I only use one to kill the zombies).

This is version 1.19, new version 1.21 = more zeds/tougher zeds, and it's also complete luck he found an M4 that fast. Good luck!
I recreated this offline, so the zombies didn't spawn in. You can bait them out with suppressed or unsuppressed gunshots, or just risk it and run in anyway. You can also bait them with VOIP and fight most of them outside of the zone before running in.
@@chucks5419 True, this does involve luck. But it is possible to get this lucky, and it could be fun to try every once in awhile. I wouldn't want to do this every time I get a Berezino spawn, but it can work. It's more of a fun meta/theorycraft idea, seeing if this would turn into the meta (or some variation of this) or not. It seems like it didn't!
