The barbarism Pakistani Army did with Bangladeshis, especially to women is beyond human imagination... Official order was given by Pakistani Army to make 'rape camp' and 'impregnate' those Bangladeshi women, who were fertile and kill those who weren't. Still you guys feel proud of your Army.
Bangladeshi people must remember as Bangabandhu often quoted 'First we are Bangali, then Bangladeshi.' Joy Bangla.

he was the main culprit in breaking up Pakistan, resulting in Bangladesh. How can people even think about remembering him as a hero. Idhar hum , udhar tum ka nara laga kar mulk tor dia. Mujeeb clearly won the election fair and square and deserved to lead the country but bhutto and his corrupt team didn't accept defeat. Mujeeb wasn't ghad-dar rather Bhutto and his team were. Just to clear, I am Pakistani, not from Bangla or india.

Mujib of Bangladesh won overall majority and so should have been the leader of the two Pakistans, however, West Pakistan would not play by the rules! How dare a Bengali rule them, yet for it to be the other way round there was no problem! The Bengal was a fertile place and riches to be had, which were them used for East Pakistani gains only!

As a Bangladeshi, I am glad that we got rid of Pakistan from our noble land. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Pakistani civilians for what the military did in 1971 and I do acknowledge that for the most part they are apologetic towards us Bengalis for what had happened, but Pakistan was dragging back the Bengalis from reaching our full potential. Of course as a young country we have numerous problems, but we are working on it, and the best part is there is no terrorism nor military dictatorship in my beautiful country.

***** well put, those magees care only about who is on power, rather than doing something for the people. There are times when I really wish the country was ruled by military, but the geo politics is complicated and our great neighbor(s) will never let that happen/let it happen for very long for their own gains. Our best bet is to educate the people. What I believe is, we just need to educated people, and the educated masses will do the rest, whether it be a revolution or a reform, as we have seen in Iran during the late 70's and early 80's.

Bengali's were not happy with PUNJABI dominated West Pakistan, because Punjabi is a low class convert from Hindus & Sikhs, Bangali's tolerated the Sindhis, Pathans and Baluchis, bur cursed Punjabis with passion. He became disillusioned with the British and the puppet local politicians . After that Netaji Bose attempted his armed fight as you know, he formed the Azad Hind Force . His initial proposal included joint secular all sects type ideas. Later they even offered to have Bengal go to the same secular one Greater Bengal idea. While politicians fanned the religious extremism. Violence and rioting kept happening and derailed all efforts. We are still seeing much of that to this days . British imperialist really feared Netaji Shubhas Bose . Thanks.

Infact inside south asia i am much more likely to enjoy company of a pakistani or afghan than others. I say this because i know many from the different communities in Europe and I know how they behave.
In pakistan it is mostly the Pathans who are trustable, probably theu were earlier too. In india it is mostly the himalayan folks and in bangladesh again mostly from the hill tribes.

After winning the election Mujibur Rahman had the right to become prime minister of Pakistan, but he was denied and democracy was crushed. Bhutto and Yahya Khan was responsible for it. As a Pakistani i have no objection in accepting this reality that bhutto and yahya played a huge role in separation but mujib was also wrong when he declared independence before army operation just on the base that he was not given power so as a result of mujib independence declaration the army operation was done to protect the sovereignty of country this is what every country will do in such a case even Bangladesh today will also do this if someone announces independence within Bangladesh. and regarding separate currency i read that there was an alternate of separate currency provided by mujib which was that there must be separate reserve banks of provinces in case of same currency. and regarding bhutto, bhutto's main objective was to be part of government and bhutto said this openly "agr koi b hakumat meri marzi k bagair bani toe main uski tangain khainchoun ga(i do not remember the exact words of bhutto but his meaning was same)" you can verify statements of bhutto from old newspapers of that time

@@sohaib5661 Why was Mujib wrong to declare Bangladesh as an independent country? West Pakistan was notorious for draining the resources of the eastern wing to develop West. West Pakistan also neglected Bengalis after the Bhola cyclone and then finally denied Sheikh Mujib prime ministership after winning the election by a huge margin while Bhutto still missed a lot seats from West Pakistan. Despite all this, you think Mujib should have continued reasoning with West Pakistan? Did you know that in the 24 years of East Pakistan, Bengali never got a leader they wanted. The early Bengali leaders got their positions without going through any electoral process. They were appointed by the army and thrown out by the army which explains why none of them completed their terms. Those Bengali figureheads were artificially representing Bengalis. They were only two leaders Bengalis wanted -Fatima Jinnah and Sheikh Mujib and neither of them ever ruled Pakistan thanks to the army. The truth is, Bengalis were always under military rule in East Pakistan. I think Bengalis and Mujib have been patient long enough with Pakistan.

Also Mujib had the right to change the government and Yahya didn't want that so he put Bhutto in this scene and drove out Mujib AND made us lose East Pakistan. However I will say, West Pakistan was very unfair and cruel to East Pakistan since the beginning.

Every one of us must learn that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's political career got birth in General Ayub Khan's military regime, which was the thing we traditionally call "Martial Law Government". The-then Army Chief General Ayub Khan staged a successful military coup in 1958 in order to become the center of executive power, entirely derailing Pakistan's already struggling democratic setup. Mr. Z.A. Bhutto was soon afterwards introduced in the sphere of politics under the Martial Law-umbrella and was appointed Foreign Minister in 1963an illegitimate beginning of his career. Thus, he did not set out as a public leader.
As the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, the first damage Mr. Bhutto did to the country was surrendering unconditionally 750 square km territory of Pakistan to China in 1962. Bhutto himself sealed off the deal.
Moreover, our history must be corrected about 1965 Indo-Pak War that it was Mr. Bhutto, the Foreign Minister, who pushed the whole country into that war by designing and supporting "Operation Gibraltar", which ended up in a sheer failure with 3000 Pak Army commandos dead or missing in Kashmir Valley. In reaction to consecutive operations code-named "Gibraltar" and "Grand Slam", Indians opened up three new war-fronts to release Pak Armys pressure from Kashmir and thus the country went to war exposing its numerous weaknesses. After the war had ended, this so-called leader proved so shameless that he deceived, even seduced, his own master "Ayub Khan" atTashkent while negotiating the pact with Indian Prime Minister Shastri. Despite being an accomplice in that insulting pact, he started howling against his own master when once having been thrown out of the cabinet in 1966.
In 1970 Elections, Bhuttos Peoples Party did not even secure half strength of what Sheikh Mujeebs Awami League had secured in the federal parliament. However, he denied East Pakistans right of government and got on-guard to defend his illegal case even at the cost of countrys integrity. Eventually, the ultimate came in December 1971 as envisaged by many statesmen, but Mr. Bhuttos stubbornness as well as selfishness never came to an end.
After Ayub Regime, this same Bhutto made an illegitimate alliance with the next martial law administrator General Yahya Khan and brokered to break up Pakistan. He was the one again to serve as Foreign Minister of Yahya's Martial Law Regime. He remained unchallenged in his driving of Pakistan's foreign policy at the tide of his ambitions and fantasies. It was Bhutto, who, out of sheer emotionalism or more probably out of design, tethered into pieces at UN Security Council session thePolish Resolution of peaceful surrender of Pak Army to UN Forces in East Pakistan on 13 December 1971, the last chance Pakistan could avail itself to save its national honor. However, Mr. Bhutto let it go at will. What a great leader really Bhutto turned out to be.
Again it was Mr. Bhutto who went to Simla in 1972 to negotiate a post-war peace pact with Indian Premier Indira Gandhi. There he shamelessly consented to acknowledge, as Indians had always desired, the long-standing "Kashmir Dispute" as a bilateral, regional dispute rather than a UN-arbitrated international problem. Probably it was the worst kind of patriotism any leader in the world, other than Mr. Bhutto, could have ever displayed. He also triggered military operation inBalochistan, cultivating the seeds of secession that Pakistani nation is experiencing even to this day.
Later on, it was again his evil idiosyncratic character that embarked upon the project of "nationalization", which proved the last nail into the war-torn economy of Pakistan. The capitalism-based market of Pakistan never recovered from that setback, nor did investors ever return to the market in complete trust. We must not forget that it was the time when on the other end of the world, such as in USA and Europe, states were denationalizing their major industries. How sick of him.
There was a state of self-actualization on the part of Bhutto, and that was his sole belief in his person being an evil-genius. He had no compunctions on his conscience for what wrongs he did to Pakistan, for he had his justifications to play the role of every kindeven of a chameleon. His rhetoric always demonized our Great Quaid and it is the illicit legacy of the fraudulent character of Bhutto that we experience even today as Peoples Party's agenda of "Divide and Rule".
Indeed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was the darkest ever character of Pakistani politics. This is not to say that there was no positive side in Bhutto; however, the negative side of his person enormously eclipsed the positive side - continues to eclipse our political vision and practice even in 21st century.
