the thing about OU, even during these great times we never had the talent of the Pete Carroll, Urban Meyer, Saban teams, no excuse for that and reason why we only won 1 natty
My favorite thing about texas fans constantly pointing out last years score and I just keep pointing out to the numerous games that ou has absolutely embarrassed texas over the last two plus decades.
I was only like 6 or 7 at the time, but coming back to it now man Jason White could sling it. He could drop it in the bucket 40 yards down field but also throw it at you at 100 miles an hour.
Back before our defense went from dominating smash mouth to being what I’ve heard called “finesse” defense. In other words, nothing like we see here. The obsession of offensive piling it on and such turned out D into a unit that were coached to have the offense out score the opponent rather than follow basics learned in pee wee football. The highlight reel on our defense under Riley’s tenure would be about 45 seconds long - including ads. Great to see realmD back in Norman.
