i did everything but the item folder, inside i looked in the scripts, and for you it says hat, for me texture. Can you please help?

I am working on texture pack that doesn't require OptiFine. I am trying to change the model of lever and I have a problem with importing it to the game, instead of the custom model, the standard lever model is displayed and when I replaced all of the original json files in models and blockstates folders with blockbench json file, the item texture had missing texture and the model after placing on ground was displayed as magenta and black block. Do you know how to solve this problem? Do you have any advice?
I Think the CZcams with not so many subs make better tutorials as the one with more subs I watched more then 10 videos to do something like that and you explain it the best I'm gonna try it out 😁

When i make the '.properties' one, it changes the file into an internet explorer page?
Oh, try right clicking it, and opening it with Text editor or something to edit text
When I try puting it on it just goes deeper into the folder in mc any tips to help?
you have to zip it, but it will disappear from the resource packs thing in mc

TYSM i tried making hats before and it didnt work or either the texture was just a missing black and pink mess but this tutorial actually helped me and it worked :D

I did not work for me, I was in the right version, and the blur is not there, when i try to name it the model does not change, I doubled checked if the resource pack is on and yes it is, do you know what the problem is?

Bro in the file section in blockbench are the plugins u find one called "packager" or smthn and u quilt kły export the model as pack instead of messing around in the files but still good vid

how do i get the item in game??
Everything worked perfectly, I only have 1 problem, when I put on the helmet, the model is still seen as an iron_helmet, however, the model in the hand, on the floor, or any other side, looks correctly, could you help me?
That's because minecraft does not allow you to change the armor model, I don't know how to change it and is the reason why I use a carved pumpkin, sorry for not being that much of help

@@MannyQUESO lol yeah i figured it out kind of quick, anyway i havent seen the updated verison much, so i do not know if you mentioned this in the video, but if you change the "carved_pumpkin" in the .properties file, the model doesnt show up when you wear it, ex: iron helmet, is there any fix?
another question: can you put nbt tags into the item so it's the same name but its a different tag? (not sure if i can even understand myself at this point
Do I have to create an opifine folder? I need players with sodium to see it too.
well if it is a server, then im sure you could put these textures into a server without the use of optifine, idk if thats 100% correct but its worth researching

Ah, well it does work with fabric, you just have to download optifabric, I'll send a video that explains it

@@MannyQUESO I named it simply LordDogwaterHat and to be sure I even copied it from the files into minecraft, which didnt work either. Now Im thinking about it might be I imported the model and texture incorrectly since thats basically the only thing thats wrong. Ill give an update if it is fixed or I have another question :D (thanks for responding so quickly by the way)

@@MannyQUESO Small update: we did get the hat in minecraft :D the only thing that did not load was the texture, the model did load so it's some progress.
I have been having trouble with making the model show on the item I chose In my case its a netherite helmet do you have any idea why this is happening (The texture is a normal netherite helmet btw if that makes any difference)
The model has to change the pumpkin model, as of right now Mojang does not allow you to change the model for helmets

I tried to do this for 1.18, and because at 12:48 you said the number changes depending on what version you're playing as, I changed it to an 8 and tried using it but it's not showing up in the resource packs menu 😭
That's a common issue, but it should show up still just red
Hmm I check the MC wiki and you put the right number. Make sure the file name is spelt correctly and that it ends with .mcmeta, so the file name should be pack.mcmeta

I've checked every file name and all of the coding. It's correct, and it's still not appearing. It may just be my laptop not liking it. The only difference I could find is that in the .json file it doesn't state the texture size. That could be the issue, though i'm unsure.

i think so, you would just have to find the file name in minecraft
I followed everything as best as I could but I don't see it in my resource pack in minecraft :(
How do you install optifine? And what website did you get it (optifine) from exactly?
optifine.net/downloads and you choose your preferred version and download it, once you've downloaded it double click the file and it should show a pop up with optifine asking to be installed, select yes and it should automatically install it. If it doesn't, then try going to the minecradt launcher and playing on that version first. (You can just download that version too then once it opens close it.)

Uhhh, I have no words, very random. But, I don't know what to tell you, I guess you could the attribute command and make it so that it's knockback is set to high. But you could also make the goat model look like a cats and ill discuss how to make custom modeled entities in a future video

Make sure you have optifine, also make sure there aren't any typos in anything, like in the .properties file. If that doesn't help try watching the updated video of this

it should still work if optifine has been released for 1.20, just replace the number in the pack.mcmeta file to 15 to make it say it is compatible
