    Have now a 2013 F800 R, used to have the 2009 f800 ST and in between i had a Kawasaki 300i scooter wich i liked a lot but the suspension was so bad, nearly dangerous in the way I rode it. Now back to the stubbern parallel f800 twin and after so many bikes in the past 30 years this is THE bike for me. This review discribes exactly my experiences with the F800. Every time i take it for a ride I enjoy it so much. This is a keeper!

    Just bought a 2015 with 2,200 miles and really looking forward to learning/riding on it, this video gave me a good perspective on it being a decent bike to learn on and that I wasn't crazy getting an 800cc bike as a first bike

    Good review, thank you. I like your honesty and the fact that you've not put stupid music into the video!
    I'm looking at either one of these, a 675 or 765 street triple or a Ducati Scrambler. Had a lay off bikes after many years of sports bikes, bit longer in the tooth now so want something to do 50 miles now and then just to get out and about. This seems to fit my needs.

    I love this video, THANK YOU! I just got myself a 2011, as I am not a ver experienced biker, but I’m working on it! It was about 7000, with about 16000m on it. Haven’t been riding in about 10 years and I thank you for participating at my “gaining back the confidence”- Today I’m going to ride it the first time! And I loved the route you took!

      @@CountMiffed picked it up tonight bud.... What a beautiful bike so light and flickable the brakes are in another league compared to to non radial units... Nice power just enough for the bike and it's specification is superb all the extras it could possibly have.... ££4400 for a 9 grand bike with 3k miles on it..... Really happy with it and your review was very influential in me getting 1. All the best pal and ride safe what ever your riding these days 👍

    Hey Count! My 800r's first birthday was a week ago and I just love it more everytime I get on it. I've been riding for 16 years and I tossed around a few different brands in the search for a new bike and am just so glad I settled on this one. I completely agree with you on so many levels. As I learn this bike more it just rewards me more. This bike has given back to me what motorcycling is about, (for me anyway) and has truely given me some amazing moments already, through it's capability to just do anything I ask of it. I've just added some aftermarket goodies for it's birthday and it got better again!!

    Greetings, Count. I have a question about this bike. You mentioned that you had the electronic suspension adjustment on this bike. Does this adjust rebound damping and preload as well? Also, does the center stand cause any ground clearance issues when in bends?

    • @CountMiffed
      @CountMiffed  Před 7 lety

      Alexis Robles hi Alex the electronic suspension just softens or hardens the suspension that all. I didn't have any ground clearance issue with the centre stand.

      Thanks for the quick reply. At the moment Im thinking to get myselft the F800R or the Yamaha Tracer 700 as my first bike (pillion riding will be done sometimes on the weekends on short trips). Any insights maybe?

    • @CountMiffed
      @CountMiffed  Před 7 lety

      Max Gedecke not ridden the Yamaha before so couldn't say. Maybe take both out for a test ride and get your girlfriend to sit on both to see what she thinks. We did a 250 mile ride on the f800r and my girlfriend was fine all the way. We never did big trips on it but little short breaks was fine.

      +external influences no warranty issues. In fact I took it in last week to have a rear hugger installed as I couldn't get the screws off myself. BMW couldn't get the screws off either and needed to drill them out, they did it under warranty and only charged me for the install of the hugger. Maidenhead dealership have been really good to me, would totally recommend them.
