I recently finished Howls Moving Castle and really enjoyed it, it gives a similar cozy fantasy/magical vibe as Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries. I'm reading the second one now, Castle in the Air, which so fair seems to have absolutely nothing to do with the first one though lol
there's a book called Magnetic Aura on borlest, and it talks about how using some secret tehniques you can attract anyone with charisma, it's the real deal
Iâve not seen anyone talk about Kala online but Iâm looking forward to reading it - it was Waterstones book of the month for June! Have you ever read where the crawdads sing? I feel like thatâs badged as lit fic with some mystery thrown in there
After you read Howl's Moving Castle definitely check out the movie! It's animated by Studio Ghibli (My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke if you've ever seen them - definitely recommend if you haven't) and it breathes a whole new life into an amazing piece of art. It's in Japanese and English, I don't have a preference either way but if you have trouble with subtitles and English is a great dub with amazing actors like Jean Simmons, Christian Bale and Josh Hutcherson
Yay to find someone else who loves The Only One Left as much as I do! I also read it last year and itâs my favorite Riley Sager. His other ones in my opinion are not as good.
Have you read the monk and monkey itâs an abridged version of the journey west ? Or have reprint of pulp magazines like the Lone Ranger or Captain future ?
Where do you buy your books from? And do you buy any second hand books - a lot of people read the book and disregard it, and so many brand new books are turning up at ops shop in new condition
