Virginia Beach Boardwalk is a 3-mile strip full of beach bars, and fun activities to enjoy. Neptune Park and King Neptune's Statue are located on 31st street.

This beach is definitely great for running in the morning. Great to be able to see dolphins 🐬 !

I lived in the area for 18 months and being from Dallas, TX, I was surprised on how well I adapted and enjoyed the area. I've been back a few times since 2016 and will be returning in two weeks. I really love it there!

@@TheDetourDuo honestly? Having family from the big city and small country, coupled with moving around with the Navy. You learn to make anywhere "home", but this was a personal choice to live there for a brief moment after leaving the military. It was just suppose to be for 6 months of east coast living, but like I wrote above...I extended that a year. 😄 ⛱
My husband and I were stationed in Virginia Beach but we moved to Georgia and this video convinced us book a family vacation for July! Watching this video brought back soo many memories! I can't wait for July to enjoy Virginia with our kiddos! Thank you guys!

They're planning a lot of concerts on the beach until the end of summer. The fair at Mt. Trashmore might still be ongoing too!

Very nice video guys. The editing and the contact itself was done very nicely almost like a professional commercial. I lived in Virginia Beach from 95 to almost 2000 and plan on moving back in 2025 after retiring as a Scientist for the City of New York. But in the meantime I love watching Virginia Beach videos to see what’s changed and what hasn’t. This video gave me the feel good vibes, thanks so much.

Wow! Great video!!! We just got back from VA Beach, we were only there for the day but now we need to go back and check out these state parks!
The best time to go is around this time and early fall. They're really gorgeous then. Unfortunately we filmed this while there was still snow melting so it doesn't do the scenery justice. Did it rain while you were here?
@@TheDetourDuo Yes! We got in last night and it stormed like crazy! But it was also pretty amazing because our hotel was right on the beach so we were able to lay in bed and watch the storm over the ocean!
Oh that's sounds pretty relaxing actually. One thing I've always wanted to do was photograph lightning over the ocean, but I'm a chicken when it comes to storms 😅

This video is cool about visiting VA Beach…. I was born & raised in the area… 757. I actually love going to the ocean front. Especially the summer months with the different Live music & street shows.
Many people from the area don’t go much, I love to go. Depending on the time of day and which end, it can look like night & day. That being said, in the evenings, I like to be down the higher end. That mainly applies to the Strip though.
I honestly feel like I’m in a different place when I’m down there because many people are visiting.
Many locals do come down for certain festivals though.
love when they have festivals by the waterfront. Seems like some kind of event is always going on. Last time we were there there was a big volleyball tournament. Glad that the concert series is back in town vs being in DC like it was the year prior.

I'm back...LoL so I went to Granby in Norfolk but graduated from Bayside in Virginia Beach - and yup you guessed it...didn't know about some of these either - state parks??? whaaattt - LoL
Haha we really only scratch the surface of the area. We just started trying to go out more and explore honestly. then Coronavirus happened. We lived right near Granby high for awhile! Now we moved over to Ghent by the Harris

I'm originally from West Virginia and the two most popular beaches people there went to were Myrtle Beach and Virginia Beach.Virginia Beach has a nicer boardwalk but Myrtle Beach has more of that Florida feel to it .Both were awesome beaches though.
maybe we weren't there at the right time, but I got to give the edge to VA for better beach. Their boardwalk is a big part of that. Myrtle Beach feels like Jersey Shore imo

We actually moved from Guam! If you ever make it over to the Pacific, definitely check it out! I’m sure you’d both love it! It’s a huge adjustment for us but we’re enjoying VA living so far! Love experiencing all four seasons!

I lived there in the 80s........I remember Mt. Trashmore being on Edwin Dr. off of Holland Rd. Your slide says 1718 Atlantic Ave. Not sure that is right.
