    You are really the most caring and down to earth CZcamsr. Thank you so much for creating all of your videos with such care and attention. Don't mind the amount of subscribers you have, but rather the positive impact that you have had on just one of your viewers, and how in turn that can help change the lives of others. Quality over quantity.

    When I do the backslash part, it only gives me one choice "board view" and wants me to choose a database. If I don't choose one, it only gives me three columns - to do, in progress, complete. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

    Thank you. I really like notions power but I am having a very hard time creating a workflow since many steps aren't really intuitive. I feel like I want to utilize this tool, but it feels like very hard work to get used to how it is done. This video is the first to not only explain a feature but also give a sense of what the workflow could be like and that maybe I could make this work for me.

    Wow, Jimmy - I only found your channel a few days ago and had some time to-day and started watching your videos. I do a lot of research and have things all over the place. Watching this video tells me one solution is to pull everything together in a Kanban. I must say that there are some excellent Notion videos by other producers. My issue is that they usually tell me lots about what it can do and I'm waiting to hear of any if it is relevant to me. Whereas, I love your approach. You just dive in and demonstrate what the tool can do, step by step, and explain it as you go. That's far more useful because I can then see what the tool can do and the variants that I did not know about that actually would solve the challenges. Much like a Maths teacher I had - he didn't stand there talking in theory. He'd say what a Maths skill was designed to do. Then give us a challenge and work through the stages so you knew that if you followed X steps you'd get the answer. Thank you so much for taking the time to produce these fascinating and incredibly helpful videos. You are a first class teacher and make things so easy to follow.

    I have a great Idea Jimmy... You need to do a 'Learn Notion For Beginner To Intermediate' and sell it. I'm ready and am sure that many others will be too. Or better yet... 'Learn Notion 101'. Do 10 chapters/subjects then do 'Learn Notion 202' with the same subjects but a bit more advanced. And then to top of the series, 'Learn Notion 303'. Think about it! And thanks again. I'm devouring all your Notion vids.

    One suggestion though: Please take the time to match the volume of your intro to the volume of your video. Your mellow and down to earth and your intro video is a couple decibels louder which really threw me off. I feel it should be more representative of your tone.

    Excellent tutorial !! You are a great resource !!
    I have one question. I have Excel spreadsheets that we use to manage projects. Each line in the spreadsheet is one project and there are 100s. Think of each one like a sales lead.
    How can I import a sheet into Notion and automatically turn each line into a unique CARD in a Kanban Board? It would be really useful as we can make our project management much more intuitive. We can then move projects around, change their status and archive them. It can even be used as a simple CRM.
    This would be very useful.
    Thanks and keep up the great work you are doing!

    Hi! Is there any way you can view all your dates cards in Notion on a separate column. I have a lot of cards or “tasks” some with dates and others without. How do I view all dated cards so I can prioritize my work?

    • @TheProductiveEngineer
      @TheProductiveEngineer  Před 4 lety

      Not in a separate column but you can create a linked database of the board and filter it by date. You would setup the filter as date is not empty. This will only show you cards that have a date assigned. Hope this helps. Jimmy

    Dear Jimmy, I have a question I have been looking for days for an answer. Is there a way to extract statistics about the status of the cards. I want to calculate the time cycle between each status since I am using it for a pipe each card being "lead", "contacted" "meeting booked" etc. I cannot automate this process. Need help. Thanks for your amazing work!!!

    • @TheProductiveEngineer
      @TheProductiveEngineer  Před 4 lety

      Hi Antoine. This is a great question. The only way I can think to do it would require adding additional date columns for each status type you have and setting the date when the status changes. You could then create formula columns that calculate how long each phase took. Hope this helps. Jimmy
