I dropped into LAX and took the free airport shuttle to the Blue Line (Rose Parks) only to find out all the train tracks were ripped up, so I jumped on the F. Express to downtown. It turned out to be a "tour" of Compton, south of Slauson, my old machine shop. What struck me were three things in the daylight: the number of schools and students of all ages, the parks were actually clean, but the number of DERELICT vehicles obstructing any access to apts. was appalling. (as an example,in El Monte you can't park on any lawn; you have to have the car on pavement). Any ambulance/fire/cop isn't going to be getting NEAR your grandma on the 2nd. floor of all these "motor hotel" type apts. 2018. The final insanity is the Well Fargo bank having their cash dispensing machine literally ON THE SIDEWALK right next to a dark alleyway, in COMPTON. !!! What??

When you see news footage of police cars at a crime scene or after a chase, the P71 really stands out. Quite an anachronism in today's world of SUV's and electric cars.
