    Thank you for sharing your knowledge!! I think I watched about every vid by now!! Question, most of my fruit trees have holes in the leaves, citrus not as much. What could be causing that? Could I spray this formula?

      There are a number of insects that feed on young citrus leaves. However if I were you I would go the organic root and use a good horticultural oil. Spray that all over your citrus leaves top and bottom. This not only works but protects your tree from these harmful insects. Also remember Slugs and rose beetles are ground dwellers that eat holes in leaves. trap them in bottles

      @@elderyehudahwatchmanoftheg8425 Yes, I have a 3 yr old lemon tree that has just started to flower this April, but all the fruit buds dropped. Right now however it is producing the second flush of blooms and I hope some of them won’t drop. I am not sure what type of lemon but I think it is a Lisbon.

    Hello Elder, could you do a video on how to build the wooden raised boxes? Is there a liner in the box?

      Hi, I do not need anymore wooden boxes but I will explain it in a vide if that helps. No liner is inside but you can put one and staple it along the sides if you like.

    Hi, I'm in Texas... Not sure where your trees are and if your weather allows all the citrus trees to live outside? I have three minor in containers, we have to call them back in and out in the winter.... How do you manage to keep them outside yet protected from winter weather? Example...I just took my key lime out... As it was 70+, now today it is dropping to 50, and 44 tonight! Would love to know how you manage this Jurassic weather change with your citrus trees

    Got a Tango Citrus tree this spring. It's in a container on deck. It's growing well with new leaves sprouting. I keep the soil moist but dry also. It will need to go indoors for the fall. Any advice for outdoor growing months? Bless

    Any advice for someone growing citrus in western Washington w/o a south facing window to place in house during the winter? I’ve been trying to choose cold hardier verities because ideally would want to put in ground after 2-3 years to grow. Shalom for your time and advice brother in YAH

      First check at your local nursery or farmersalmanac.com to what citrus trees if any can be grown in your growing zone. Once you find out you can go from there

    I have a kumquat tree it’s about 2 1/2 feet tall. Do you have any tips on it blooming this year. I bought it from tractor supply but it didn’t say how old it was. I live in 6a zone. I planted one in the ground and one in a pot. The one in the pot is growing faster then the one in the ground. I been using a citrus fertilizer once a month.

    Hey Elder. I gotta question for ya. I transplanted my mandarin into a bigger pot and used azalea potting mix u talk about around a week ago. Now the leaves are turning yellow. The leaves were all dark green before transplant. Now…It’s looks kinda like greasy spot. I’m thinking the ph is too low from the azalea mix. Should I put it the Kelloggs citrus soil instead? Or is it something else like nutrient deficiency? I’m thinking it’s the PH because it came on so fast a few days after transplant. Thank u for any input. -Ang

    • @elderyehudahwatchmanoftheg8425
      @elderyehudahwatchmanoftheg8425  Před rokem

      My question is why did yo up-pot it? Was it to big for the pot that it was in? This is why I do not recommend beginner citrus growers do what I do, they are not experienced. Also why would you plant it in kellogg's mix? That is a neutral mix and not made for citrus. The Azaleas mix already has the correct ph. The reason why it lost its colors, are a few factors.
      #1 You should have never moved it
      #2 The tree is in shock
      #3 You did not keep the soil intack with the roots when you removed it from it container
      Note: Now you would need to wait, place it in a shady area because it is unders stress and the sun could kill it. Watch it over a month and water it but do not over water.

    • @Ang.0910
      @Ang.0910 Před rokem

      @@elderyehudahwatchmanoftheg8425 I moved it into a bigger pot (20”) because it outgrown its original 5 gal green acres pot that I got it in. I just took the whole trees soil and all into a little bigger container and filled the sides in with the azalea mix. Transplant shock?
      I saw green acres had a bag of Kelloggs palm, cactus, citrus mix. That’s why I was thinking cause it said citrus on it.

    • @elderyehudahwatchmanoftheg8425
      @elderyehudahwatchmanoftheg8425  Před rokem

      Yes that Kellogg mix sucks, They should have had you purchase the azaleas potting soil instead.
