Why even think Tua is on a hot seat? Hall of Fame QB comparison: Drew Brees' four years (did not count year 1) with San Diego: 30-28 record/62.12% completion/12,027 yards/79 TDs and 53 INTs. In comparison: Tua Tagovailoa's first four years with Miami Dolphins: 32-19 record (5 full games less than Brees)/66.5% completion/12,639 yards/84 TDs and 37 INTs. Cut Tua a break and let him continue to develop as a QB.
Exactly and the biggest thing he has proved is that he gets better every season
Because he is elevated by elite play calling and weapons and is horrendous vs teams with winning records and cant play if its colder than 45 degrees. Also he has been healthy for 1 season.

Agreed. Actually saw a report recently that QBs that sit for a year or two before playing actually have much better stats when they finally start. So based on historical evidence, taking a top pick QB that you then start immediately....is the wrong way to do it.
I'm looking at the Pats sitting at number 3 needing everything. They should trade back and load up on picks or go out of the box and grab Marvin Harrison Jr. The 2nd rd should have a good QB like Michael Penix Jr available.

To be fair to Chris Brockman, you can say that Allen will never throw a pass in the Super Bowl when you look at the AFC and the current reality it belongs to the Chiefs. Patriots, Chiefs, Chiefs, Bengals, Chiefs, Chiefs. That window of opportunity is small as it is, and moreso when you have a dynasty like the Patriots or the Chiefs running the AFC. It's optimistic to assume that you're getting 20 years out of a QB, when the reality is usually much less then that. Even with friendly rules I think 15 years is the benchmark we can realistically look at for title contention and thats for top tier QB's. It's not unrealistic to think that he wont make a SB when a lot of great QB's never make it, and even greater ones only make one.
Cardinals could trade down and then trade back up to the Chargers pick so that they can still get MHJ or Nabers but maximize their pick value. This would make sense if the vikings thought they needed to get to 4

Obviously they need a QB and most people assume they're going to grab one at 3. BUT, if AZ trades down, what stops them from making the Chargers an offer they can't refuse to trade up for the first WR?
-It's been their weakest offensive position even dating back to the twilight Belichick years (he tried to bring back his 12 personnel offense once Brady left instead of really going all out on a WR)
-There's a new regime in town, AND
-We saw the Texans doing something even more aggressive last year and both picks won rookie of the year (obviously can't happen if they get two offensive guys instead of a QB and EDGE, but still)

Penix is not just going to come in and replace Tua, he'd make a good backup though and then might eventually. But by pick 21, a) Penix is likely gone already and, b) Miami needs good offensive personnel way more than they need a quarterback.
