@@ded_omlt4934 Pretty sure the world wars would exist in every single timeline. There will always be constant war in every timeline until nuclear weapons are developed. And when do people feel the need to develop really high tech shit really fast? Yeah, during a world war.
pretty sure we avoid fallout
@@prs_81 yeah, there would be a WW2, but in alternate, not commie timeline we would handle it better.
nice ending: Rome doesnt fall because their focus tree has no content in it
trash hoi4 mod moments
Hoi4 Italy focus tree
What is a focus tree?
@@user-ju4ts8tx9m It's a base mechanic from Hearts of Iron IV (An RTS game based on WWII) basically it's a tree of different focuses that you can research that guide your nation in certain ways, like removing debuffs, giving buffs, changing ideology, and declaring war
@@LordHogWaterer HOI4 is not a RTS, in RTS, you can't pause, in HOI4 you can pause.
HOI4 is more like a Grand strategy with RTS elements.
In RTS, you mostly or entirely focus on the military and war but in Hoi4 there are more things.
Industrial Ending: Rome managed to apply scientific and engineering innovations and industrialize its empire
Actually, this is quite possible considering Rome already has steam technology, with steel and Rone could do it.
@@unserkatzenland8884 sadly, they lacked the neccessary urban manpower AND had too much of rural manpower at the same time. Basically, no workers to man the factories(and no large demand for increase in production cycle) with all the spare population tied up in the military along with too much slave|serf rural population to facilitse the need in agricultural and civil goods' mechanisation. Also the metalworking was still rather primitive compared to what we accomplished later, in the Medieval times, so no reliable metal to build the large-scale machinery from
@@Art210495 I was just saying about tech, but indeed you are correct. The Romans dont have any way of making steel (which i said)
@@Art210495 but i have to disagree with the 1st one. When a nation industrialize, there will be a large migration from the rurals to urban cities looking for better jobs and oppotunities, this has happened in almost every case.
And Rome was the most populated city in the world (1mil) with mostly urban poor so lack of labor is kinda dumb.
And the rural were also poor (the Empire was rigged of corruption) cuz exploitation from the Goverment, so much that therere wide spread Child slavery (farmers selling their children to slavers). The massive demand for labor would force the Goverment to lift travel ban and work switch ban and there would be large influx of ppl to the city, and you'll bet they will demand cheap factories goods.
???
At least Rome went out standing defiantly and fighting, instead of just silently collapsing.
...
Chil.
Which part do you mean the east or west, the west went out with a bang and the east died slowly.
@@johantoma3076 west died in a fight, while east was devoured like living person on cannibals feast
The west fell bc a Germanic General disposed Romulus, the East fell with a bang with Constantine XI charging into Ottoman forces never to be seen again
@@_draco_7300 other way around
@@_draco_7300 Lol The West went out like a pussy. Seriously, Child Emperor being retired and the germans telling the East "We don't want Empire anyore". Unless you think the West ended with Majorian, then you could argue a bang (and even then he was assassinated in his sleep).
The East Went down saying "If my city falls, I fall with it". What more chad way to go than that?.
Super ultimate good ending: The Library of Alexandria is never burned, and Rome begins its conquest and colonization of the Milky Way galaxy by the mid 1800s.
Edit: I KNOW that the burning of the Library of Alexandria didn’t actually set humanity back that far, but I needed an excuse for Rome to conquer the galaxy.
The burning of the Library of Alexandria is greatly overestimated. Yeah, it was bad, but most of the things that were would've been available on other parts of the world.
A worse nightmare which included the burning of written works was the destruction of Mesoamerican, particularly Maya, works. Imagine if the only thing we knew about Augustus today was the colour of his favourite bowl lmao
@@LautaroArgentino ya at worst a decade of knowledge was lost. Not a millennium. There was copies of everything.
@@LautaroArgentino finaly someone who says that. People always have a tendecy for overestimation. Take the Mongol burning of Baghdad as an example you have many Iraqi nationalists,pan-Muslims and generaly many people think as if the destruction caused the human race to devolve a couple hundred years back which is pretty horse shit. (Mongol destructions were pretty bad but their aftermath even worse, look at the Iranian plateau between Khwarazem and Safavid it was one of the worst periods in the region's history the Mongol invasions and subsequent events caused a lack of knowledge and scholard. It was neither baghdad or something as absurd as religion yet people to push their agenda "when Islam ruled the world ", " God's wrath on the Muslims for defaming his lord and saviour".

The New World ending could seriously make for an amazing alternate history novel - you could have pagan Romans escaping from this Chrisitan world and going to the New World, jealous of the fact that the conversion of Christianity brought upon their downfall, so these pagan Romans coming to meet the new Christian World would be quite the clash!
I had made up a scenario somewhere near December 2020 where the New World is a crossover of the natives who live along with Carthaginians, Romans, Vikings, Malians, Chinese and Koreans
@@HusaviProductions Which video is this? This sounds amazing! I really want to see this scenario!
@@HusaviProductions Heck why don't you make an alternate ending series for Carthage, Rome, and Napoleon oh and the Persian Empire (the Persians were badass even in their height) - would be quite the difference! What if Rome never converted to Christanity? The ramifications of that would be astounding!
What if the Aztecs fought the Romans? What if the Norse viking raiders met these pagan Romans still ruling Rome and were employed as mercenaries in a new invasion of the Americas?

"Out of all the universes you could have lived, you were born in the only one where the Roman Empire fell"
Bad ending with a twist: Your empire died, but its influence was so immense that centuries later, every european nations still had your alphabet, the natural evolutions of your language, parts of your law, are using your symbols and architecture, and then went on to spread that all over the globe while taking turn in claiming to be your rightful heir and taking a shot at restoring your empire.
Rome pretty much achieved cultural hegemony from beyond the grave.
Canon ending is a better name lol
Consolation ending is a more fitting title

Now, it prepares massive fleets of testudo-class battleships to conquer the infinite beyond.
Do you have any idea how OP Rome would've been with the Ultimate good ending? Controlling most of Europe and the Middle Eastern Oil fields, you would have a superpower that not even the USA or China could touch.
Yeah, would’ve probably either innovated transportation systems or decentralised the empire.
You forgot one important ending. Rome loses to Carthage in one of the Punic Wars. Rome was a lot more fragile in its early days than most people think.

Ultimate worst timeline: The surviving Latin dialects throughout the collapsed empire are completely replaced by old Celtic languages and invading Germanic and Semitic languages everywhere where they were spoken, and the culture and customs of Rome die out, leaving it a distant memory of humanity.
Nothing bad about those Celtic languages tho.

The Italian countryside is left clear of devastation, leaving many of the farmers unmolested and stopping the unemployment that would lead to the fall of the Republic. I would like to point out that the Western Roman Empire still persists in the form of the Roman Catholic Church. Consequently, one could argue that the Papal States were a remnant of the western empire. Thus, Vatican City is the modern state equivalent of the Western Roman Empire. The eastern empire doesn’t really have an equivalent of Vatican City so I’d say the eastern empire truly died out as a state.
There is a thing called Mount Athos in Greece , that is the most closest thing to a Ortodox Vatican .
