Did you know that hogs (pigs) are one of the few animals that are "self aware"? Meaning if you point a weapon at a hog, it fears for its life, it KNOWS it is going to die. Some animals just know things. Take a Tarpon for instance. If you hook a Tarpon, it's first instinct is to run for structure to break you off. So, shooting the Hog would actually bring more stress. However, letting it go wouldn't taste as good.
It means when they get hooked, they instinctively know that rough structure will break fishing line and they can get away. So they run for it in an attempt to do so. It's really not that difficult. I guess you don't fish.

They would eat his cattle feed, eat the ropes for the cattle which they use to get fly/tick repellent on their backs and the boars also dig big holes like rats, almost like tunnels but they are just a few meters deep at max. So they are not just little pits in the ground but big holes. This means the land needs to be fixed - else someone will fall in the holes or machinery will get damaged etc. My neighbor has a story of once when he had to climb a tree once to escape 2 male boars that were determined to get him. As much as I don't like boars, they are fairly intelligent but a bit too successful as a result. We just let the dingoes eat them, far away from the cattle area because they are filled with parasites and diseases that can spread to the cattle.
I have to say, I felt sorry for the hog. Imagined myself being trapped and tied and held upright for a picture. Is that what hog tied means? Never thought about it, but it's a real thing I guess.

After years of studying, we feel it's time to enter one of these animals in our 12 hour attitude adjustment program. If all is successful, we should be able to approach the animal without receiving any aggressive behavior. We feel the animal would want us to dispatch him immediately, which we would be more than happy to do. Naturally everything would go to the needy. Is there a way you could ship one to me?
