That doom got on my radar after he did that up flick jump to dodge the pin. That reaction time is just too quick. Even GM doom players wouldn't have reactions like this guy. Makes sense it was a doom specialist.
yea i was thinking the same thing, the way he instantly 180 and used slam to dodge pin was something no gold doom ever does
yup and at the end of the first round when rein charged him and in a split second he ulted like golds do not have reaction time like that
Ahhh I totally thought the reaper on the blue team is the smurf. You know, in those guessing smurf games, if you spot a bronze in a gold/plat lobby, thatâs the smurf grandmaster. This actually worked a lot of times.

it's really hard to get value on doomfist without making it seem like you're the smurf. i tried to play dumb during the beginning but i wasn't getting enough value to carry the game. i hand to try a little harder but then it gets to the point where it starts to become obvious. doom is such a hard one to troll here. ggs though. & if anyone is curious i named that acc SweetTooth because of the game Twisted Metal đ
I'd actually never seen high-level doomfist gameplay. It was really fun to watch :)
Yeah, we were definitely debating on if the movement would give away. Itâs hard because with Doom it feels like you either specialize in him and can carry or you throw in gold/plat (in my opinion at least).

You did a lot of things that you are known for. The slam to dodge the pin, slamming behind Rein so he canât pin to escape, using punch for aerial movement, ult to dodge shatter. All those are things Masters Doom mains learnt FROM you including myself. Plus no one can play Doom in that elo. Worst undercover agent ever đ
That last pin @24:00 from the rein on to doomfist is called a vacuum pin, ask any mercy player about it. It's been there since OW 1 season 1
This sequence from 15:10-15:20, especially the movement at 15:19, made it super obvious it was the doom
get quaked on always knows every stop like that to punch cancel on so I knew it was him

Zen is the easiest healer you can pick to out damage the dps tho

The Rein didn't get out of immortality field in the last fight...most gold / plat tanks would just walk right out and die.
i could tell it was quake as doom. cause he used charged punch as a pressure tool, and kept canceling it mid charge to keep it, which is a big tip quake gave in his doom guide, and that he uses a lot
i knew it was doom because he did a nice ass turn punch at 15:16
I've often wondered, do the GM players know who the other GM player is in the game? or do they go in blind?
Iâm guessing they go in blind - they would be able to tell pretty quick who the Smurf is though
I think coach koby puts who the gm player is on the discord so they could know if they wanted to
Everyone knows who is who ahead of time. We all get in a call and talk to eachother before the game. It was nice đ
Howdy! Everyone knows whoâs who in the game. We put everyone in a lobby call to go over rules and things of that sort then they all go to their designated voice channels for the team. Makes it easier for organization and such.
These channels are hidden from public so the only people to know anything, besides CoachKobyâs team, is the 10 people playing.

My prediction for GM's: BolognaEater on blue team, and either SweetTooth or Airosie on red team.
Rafaamvotary on the blue team was mostly healing, even targets on full HP, while Airosie was mostly pocketing Sojourn with damage boost, but also healing other teammates and boosting them a bit when Sojourn was off doing whatever a Gold Sojourn does.
I knew damn well it wasn't the blue team Bap. Threw down his window and had two juicy kills right in his face and decided to heal instead; and the people he was healing weren't even that low. Gold gold gold gold gold all the way. A GM player wouldn't have even been able to muster the strength to do that when trolling.
hey i was the sojurn on the red team ik i didnt play teh best but i had porr conditons to play on 4 am in the morning on a school day and na servers as a eu player but it still was alot of fun and seeing other people roast on my gameplay

With the name "CRY N DYE" and the slow confused movement, I thought for sure it was the reaper. Some of the advanced movement tech preformed by the Doom did look pretty sus though.
I knew it was the Reinhardt, because at a Reinhardt enjoyer, my mans hit 80% of the firestrikes when we were first spectating, I'm mid masters currently and I only land like 50%. That fire strike accuracy was too good even for luck. You could also tell in important fights he wasn't shield botting, but in lost fights / fights he wasn't a big player, he just started shield botting. Like he was turning shield bot on and off, so it had to be someone
In this series people often call mercys a gm as soon as they see somewhat not basic movements. I guess thatâs bc the player base expectations of an average mercy is super low.
I feel like an easy way for the Smurfs to hide how good they are is to change their sensitivity or controls to something they're not used to, like really high or really low, switch inputs for abilities to make mistakes etc or play on the opposite control scheme than they're used to, like controller player on m&k and vice versa, although I suppose they have to try and carry and win at the same time, so maybe not lol
Its the small things though. Like the audio awareness of the doom, or rein aware of his health

You could really tell who it was this time. Just looking at the gameplay between the two. Seemed like the game was so quiet and slow until you switched to the tanks. Tanks are supposed to be the slow ones in the lower ranks but they were zoomin!!!!

Jay! I have an idea. What if we do the smurf challenge but in reverse. Put 4 grandmaster player in the lobby and 1 bronze, however the bronze need to try to throw the game and not be detected by the grandmaster (and there would be a vote kick system, however if they voted the wrong person out the game, the game continues)
Bronze: lose to win
Challenger: win to win
what about the smurfs guesses, that would be interesting too to see if they can guess the other smurf.

Just off the Doom and how balanced the game was, I was thinking Doom and Rein.
dat mercy is my guess....first time i saw him at 14:08,,,that player was smart. just chilling on high ground, waited for the rez. no worries in the world. like they had 100 apm to spare and were just messing around.
I body block in gold/plat :( that doom is good tho, also looks like they messing around and have free time.

I believe it was the reaper for the blue team and the mercy for the red team. Sojurn in red was not great but looked like he was trying too much and the doom looks too obvious. In blue the rein was decent but also looked he tried too much

It think to make it fair they should play a custom game where they all have the original skins and their names are hidden.
We do disable skins, I canât recall if itâs disabled this game or not. Iâm pretty sure it is.
