I think the most hilarious part about this is the fact that the developers turned an edgy scratch fangame about papyrus.exe into a generally fun experience

I like the detail of Sans being able to have 90hp because he originally had 90hp in the scratch version as well. They do have a no-hit mode suitable for his usual health though 👀

The eye at 15:21 is a reference to a dream someone had about Undertale. In their dream, the eye is called Prunsel and only speaks a red mass.

i agree with your final thoughts too! i really cannot tell 100% for certain but you can somewhat tell from watching when a game is going too far (no pun intended) to be fun and i think it's not the case with this one. also i love meme games that still remain high quality. good game.

If you are wondering, yes, its possible to no-hit It, and there is even a secret ending.
Canonically, I could actually see papyrus training sans in a similar fashion without the edgy dialogue but with the usual motivation of papyrus, being tired of his brother being lazy.

This was such a cool fangame, loved the teleport mechanic, makes sense since it's Sans. I bet no hitting this will be really satisfying to pull off.

2:29 WELL, snacks underfail, exe is a condensed form of 'executable,' which means the file can be, well, executed by double-clicking it. people associate it with creepypastas/horror a lot because executable files are *very unsafe!* don't execute them unless you know that the file is safe.
e.g, undertale.exe is fine since it's just undertale but noescape.exe is not because it's a virus (it even warns you to not execute it for crying out loud)

the blue bones work weirdly you can jump and as long as you dont move left or right you'll be fine
How they work is if you are holding one of the move buttons while inside a blue bone, it will hit you. If you are actually moving will not matter with blue bones. What does matter is if you are pressing a movement key or not.
yes thats how they normally work, this fangame if you press left or right you get hit but if you jump or are falling you're fine for some reason@@-ZelixZexal-
@@therealgalaxen It works only because Toby Fox developed the code to ONLY detect if the player is pressing a movement button instead of if the soul is actually moving. this can cause a few problems like the one we are talking about right now. I only know this stuff because I am pretty much a game dev at this point.

I remember when I was playing this game and I went to take a shower. When I came black it was a frozen screen of the papyrus in the game with half a papyrus behind it. I don’t know what happened but I was in the closet when it happened and in the darkest part where you can’t see sans. Maybe it was a really interesting Easter egg? I don’t know..
