I'm a Nuno and Extreme fan and I think this is great for nuno to get so much exposure among younger music fans, even if most of them don't know who the heck he is, haha.
Very cool of Nuno Bettencourt, to play guitar and perform for/together with Rihanna, they are awesome together. They're both incredibly talented and so good at what they do. Not to mention Rihanna and Nuno are beautiful and handsome, respectively.
Nuno Rules and Adam's pretty awsome aswell ! Think its great that he's working with her, he gets paid to play packed out stadiums every night shredding guitar solos and he doesnt have to do any of the press and interview stuff he can just chill out and then play. Wish i could do the same :)

Nuno on stage in sunglasses? No matter. There's only 1 rockstar seen here & it sure ain't her. Her talent okay enough but his is superior; she's lucky to have him w/her on tour. So glad he signed up for the gig just so we get to see him more often when Extreme is on hiatus. Playing alongside her does not diminish or discredit his amazing talent in any way. Just a working guy making a living for his family and having fun doing it. Brilliant. Forever favorite; best of the best!
Nuno is a musical genius who happens to excel on many instruments, not just guitar. He has his own band, and has performed with many major bands. He tours the world, not just with Rihanna....btw he's there because he's doing what he loves to do. He is a singer-songwriter and producer. He composed brass and strings on at least one of the albums he cut with Extreme, he is still a major member of Extreme, ever since the mid-80s. He was very much involved in writing, recording, and producing

Watching her videos I noticed how incredibly talented her lead guitarist was. Even shocked because he look like a serious metal head and was curious that he was the real deal. Looked him up to find out he is a Legend in the rock industry. So I am not only looking forward to seing Rihanna in concert but Nuno Bettencourt perform, he is gifted!
i agree with everyone that Nuno is a guitar genius... and I'm glad he is getting some mainstream exposure.. but I also have to admit that Rihanna has some really good tunes (Umbrella, Rockstar, Rude Boy, Disturbia, Russian Roulette, etc).. I normally don't go for this kind of stuff but I can see why Nuno would have wanted to play in her band... I think it's a great fit. And Rihanna is a great singer and lyricist aside from being a stone-cold fox! she is the best of the pop world.
I hate pop music.. but Nuno is a world class musician.. and Rihanna has written some killer tunes (Umbrella, Russian Roulette, Rockstar 101, etc.) She is a cut above the other hip-hop/pop artists out there.. and bringing Nuno on board to do his thing over her tunes is a testament to her taste and open-mindedness. I think they sound very good together. I'm glad Nuno is still playing alot. he is a rare talent. total genius! people like John Mayer and Slash got nothin' on Nuno IMHO!

@DanMcCaffrey It is a show. full of asthetics and very visual. it adds to the show visually. years from now when ger stadium shows are over and she playing to smaller crowds. most of this will be gone. Ofr the record, props are used in Shows worldwide. sometimers they are beautiful women, backdrops, audience members and alcohol bottles. Go Full screen and hit pause. Now look at the visual. Heck , I wish I could be up ther as a prop. Fake Break dancing.

He's a musician, and he embraces all types of music. Music is his life, his passion. So it completely made sense to me why he did this. It was a chance to stretch and grow as an artist. To contribute to another genre of music and maybe bring something back to Extreme. I saw 3 shows...all rocked!

@misstelec220 Yeah, but i have to say that Justin Timberlake is one of the few pop artists who really is very talented. He can dance, make songs, play the piano and pretty much the guitar as well. And he is very good singer and has a great sense of melody. I don't like his music too much but i have to give him credit for being a very talented artist.

I just prefer Nuno's style.. it seems like once guitar players reach a certain level of ability, then it purly becomes a matter of taste in style and approach.. I always thought Nuno was very underrecognized in the guitar community... he has such an original sound and unique voice on the instrument. I think it's cool that he was able to jam w/ nother good player like adam though, I'm sure they pushed each other.
@bizcatch I found this out on "That Metal Show" VH1 and was disappointed. Now people are going to think that all pop artist's have great guitar players. I love Nuno's guitar playing but he just got demoted for this.
