As someone who grew up with this series, its so fun watching people who have never played a WarioWare game before try and comprehend what the hell is happening.
For me it's frustrating cause I know what to do when they don't
Yeah, and when people don’t understand the basics of the games and get anxiety from how fast paced the microgames are (because u have to react fast in comprehending the task from the text on screen, and to preform it quicker)

The only other person I have seen play this game took like 6 attempts on that phase

Fun Theory: if you look at one of the pictures in Mona’s Room on the Right you’ll see what looks like Luigi and Daisy (The Parents) and Mona (The Daughter), the clock in her room has the hands in the shape of an L (is real), also back this up even further Mona lives in a Mansion, well if you clear Luigi’s Mansion and get the B Rank Mansion you’ll see it looks strikingly similar to Mona’s Mansion. Let’s talk about those fountains near her Mansion which give me Daisy Circuit vibes.

Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon shows that the D rank is the canon ending of the first game, so it might be an alternate universe or something.

That could also explain why Mona's a big fan of Wario. Luigi's likely to talk about all the crazy stuff he's done such as the various sports tournaments they competed in and helping him and "Uncle" Mario save a princess once (Mario 64 DS).

Spoilers for Megamix, but just like how this game has a bunch of Rhythm Heaven references, that game has a bunch of Warioware-themed challenge minigames that you can unlock!
Can you try to name them all by memory? I’m trying to get them right eventually. That one guy with the round frame glasses reminds me of Adam Sandler.

In the first level Wario has a group photo of them. And in Mona’s level she has a picture of him so maybe we never see his nicer side.
Honestly, my headcanon is that Wario has a caring side underneath all of that greed, his friends wouldn't keep him around if that wasn't the case. I mean, they always KNOW Wario's gonna pull their leg by the end of it but they always accept the jobs.
Maybe they're trying to help him be a better person?

The men in the space shuttle might be a reference to a minigame from Rhythm Heaven, a series made by the same devs as Warioware. In fact, there is tons of rhythm heaven references if you know the games well (the maoi with the flower on its head, the dog and afro animal plushie in Mona's room, in the extras we see Dribble and Spitz go to meet a Rhythm Heaven character named Barista, etc)
We havent had a new Rhythm Heaven in like 4-5 years. I hope we get a new one soon :(

Lulu is a character who debuted in WarioWare Gold. She basically travels to Wario’s Microgame Tournament in order to take back some Pot he stole from Luxeville, throughout the game she’s usually seen training to face him. And she’ll assist you in you’re fight with Wario Deluxe. At the end of the game she returns with the Pot Wario stole, however the villagers believe she ran off to try their new toilet they installed
