You got the album name backwards
The song is about Generation X's attitude, we as the song says don't give a fuck what people think of us. Which is something the following generations lost to the point of being offended by everything whereas we basically couldn't be offended by anything. Something the new generations need to learn as well.
The windowpane line is a reference to the hippie generation before them. Windowpane was a type of LSD sold in the 60-70's, when Fred sings that the sun don't even shine through my windowpane he is saying that generation x is stuck on some bad trip type vibe. Like it ain't no sunshine and rainbows when we tripping these days.
Everyone knows that Fred was actually talking about the next generation when writing this song

This band and Korn were the ones who introduced me to what I thought was Heavy ass music at the time. I had to be 11 or 12 back in '95 and to me this was the shit...What I didn't know back then was that they were my gateway drug into the rabbit hole that is Heavy Metal🤘🏽 and for that this band will forever hold a special place in music for me. #ThreeDollaBillYall

Totally agree. First album is underrated as hell. It gets retroactively hated because of their later albums. The unquestionable truth was about as close as they got to returning to that same intensity.
This song I think is because Generation X was the generation from the 90s. Grunge. A sultry generation, very turned inwards, to the emotions, fears, traumas, personal story. Limp Bizkit came with the Nu Metal, which appeared towards the late 90s, when Generation Y came out. And that was a totally different kind of generation.
A lot of crap started to be said against the artists from G X, like they were all depressive, sad, tortured and brought everybody down.
Fred Durst was from Generation X. It took him a while to get to be popular but he is X.
