Eric knew Shelly like the palm of his hand. He knew she loved him until death do they part, and before she passed away on the operating table, she spoke his name as though invoking his presence. It's ironic for him to know his fiance's last words because he died hours before her and was resurrected a year after their deaths. Yet their bond was exceedingly overwhelming and faithful, he knew what she was going to say despite his absence. That's real love.
My all time favorite movie!!! I can understand them cutting out some of this for time but I really, REALLY wish they had kept the "She only said one thing to me before she died." "My name." bit. The way he said it is so heartbreaking and filled with pain. Gives me goosebumps and makes me want to cry at the same time! He was truly such an incredible actor. Just wish people would've realized that before he died and I think had he lived, this would've been the movie that showcased that for him! So tragic. 💔
Eric Draven: Little things used to mean so much to Shelly. I used to think they were kind of... trivial. Believe me, nothing is trivial. A great memorable quote from Brandon Lee in The Crow.
It begs the question if Brandon never got killed during the filming of this, would the movie still give that same emotionally beautiful vibe. I hope my comment doesn't sound messed up or anything but would it still have that beautiful soundtrack composed by Graeme Revell, I really wonder how different this movie would be if things didn't go as it did.
I believe it would have, I can only speak for myself but I hadn't heard of Brandon Lee's death before seeing the movie, my boyfriend at the time and I went on opening night because the previews looked amazing. It did not disappoint. I went back the next day with my best friend, I had to make her see it. A few days later I saw a news story on tv about how it was a hit, and talking about how he'd died. It was a gut punch, to say the least.
Wow That was actually kinda sadder than the theatrical version How much more of these treasures are floating around? It’d be nice to see it all skin-grafted onto the original and see how it flows…
