- Crete is the largest and most populous island in Greece. Crete is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Greece, famous for its beaches and ancient ruins. Around 5 million tourists travel to Crete each year. Crete bounds the southern border of the Aegean Sea, with the Sea of Crete to the north and the Libyan Sea to the south. Crete has a population of 650,000 and Heraklion is its capital and largerst city. Other notable cities are Chania, Rethymno, Ierapetra, Sitia and Agios Nikolaos.

Crete Is a beautiful Island I hope not too much has changed. Since my wife and I went 30 years ago. So many lovely things to see. While a walk into the hills is also beautiful There are so many great place and palaces to visit. We went at Easter Cretan's like to celebrate Easter. In the morning If you have egg for breakfast the eggs are beautifully decorated. In the evening after the meal there would be dancing. My favorite drink apart from a beer or wine. 7 star MATAXA lovely and smooth.

Creta is an amazing island, in my opinion, underrated compared to Santorini or Mykonos.

During your visit here, one must be wary of the Hippies and while driving of Hippie crossings during any visits to Crete. All kidding aside what a beautiful place!

I visited Greece in 1967, first to Athens which I found glorious, filled with ancient wonders and friendly people. Then I sailed to Hydra where I had the most relaxing holiday ever.Danced until dawn and drank way too much retsina .leaving with many fond memories of the kindness of the Greek people and a vision of the ancient world I hv treasured ever since. It mattered little to me that, on the day of my arrival in Athens, there was a military coup. When I got home to NZ I followed the progress of the coup, hoping for peace in that lovely country.

Thank you for the nice video giving prominence to my island!! You forgot to refer more places in the southern region such as Chora Sfakion, Loutro, Agia Roumeli, Agia Galini, Tsoutsouras and Lentas and of course the island of Gavdos, the most southern part of Europe!!! 🥰🥰🥰

I missed Mirabello Bay, simply the best location on Crete for a wonderful vacation (near Agios Nikolaos).

So much to explore, my mum lives in Malia so i get to go lots! Malia old towns cuisine is Exquisite, love Plaka near Spinalonga, Ag nik, Sisi & the many mountain vllages of that area

Thank you for the video, I found out that investing is not for everybody, you just need a strong stomach too see your portfolio go down. Yes, exactly. It's all programmatic and automated, plus it's relatively much easier to set up and connect my accounts than creating a financial plan and drafting investment strategies myself, my account just mirrors her trades in realtime.

nice video but Crete was civilized way before Romans, Byzantines, Venetians and definitely before the uncivilized Ottomans. Please do a better research. You might have heard of the Minoans or way before them Keftiu.
