The actress who plays Carol is one of the strongest on British Television, such a real, gritty and powerful performance through out this storyline. the woman deserves loads of awards.

Shane Folan Medical professionals generally are, even in real life. It's probably also a coping mechanism for them to distance themselves emotionally from situations like this.
The Doctor would never be so harsh to good people. I don’t know what you are on about but the Doctor is a god & a legend.

I remember Carol blaming Lauren for this but really it was his own fault - drinking himself stupid the night before.

Of course it was his own choice. People lash out when they are grieving. Not long after this- a week or two- Carol saw Lauren drinking on a street corner pressuring some guys into having more alcohol, saying things like ‘don’t be an old woman’ etc - she just saw red and imagined that’s how she would have egged Billy on. But ultimately it was Billy’s choice.

I’ve never heard of that being “procedure” before, A doctor comes and then he calls the paramedics on the dead? Like what? That makes it sound like he’s still alive and can be saved. It doesn’t make any sense, because paramedics bring patients to the doctor not the other way around. And doctors are the ones to announce when someone is dead. So it just doesn’t make any sense.
The next step would be the removal

Imo, the actresses who played Carol, Pat and Bianca were always Eastenders strongest ones.
I have a crazy tolerance after decades, can drink 2 full bottles of shorts and wake up next day with hangover, alive but very ill. it`s very dangerous for anyone else and it can kill you if you act so ridiculously stupid. This episode was right if you are not used to it it can kill you
that's horse shit- look at Oliver Reid, he drank for years and 1 big binge killed him at the end. Nobody is invincible.

I drank 3/4 in one go when I was 16, was only drunk from 8-12 wasn't even hungover, then again most parties I've been to people were pre-pre drinking lol
