Actually a pretty good shooting phase if they killed a marine
It may have taken 39 shots but the outcome was a dead spacemarine. That's a win in my book
It's not about winning as guard brother, its about 40 dudes with flashlights bringing down a centuries old warrior gene sculpted to be the Apex of Human evolution. Flashlight and a dream.
I have 20 guard bois, all of them shoot, somehow 14 of them die on my turn, pray, profit for the emperor, suicide charge.
Morale: The mechanic that only exists for guard.
Bricky is the reason I got a guard army. I’m so glad I decided to go guard. I love there lore, and there models are great too. I got 30 normal guys, 6 bullgryns and a Russ. Need much much more. Time for debt
Bricky got me into guard too. My cousin had a metric fuck ton of leman russes and chimeras I bought off him so I run a fully mechanized list of 3 tank commanders, pask and a regular russ, 5 chimeras and basiliks.

Can I suggest that instead of the giant team portrait you make it slightly smaller and replace the space with a small unit roster so we can see what has play/hasn't play or is alive/dead.
It would make following a lot easier and not sacrifice hud space.
This whole thing has mad comedic timing at 1.25 speed mate. You guys speak clearly enough for it to take the increase without distortion which results in the whole thing feeling like a mix between an old film sequence and speed chess.

He is still catachan, and is still infantry, so he does get the +1 to strength, also you forgot the S4 a few times i noticed too heh. Also, may actually be worth running power swords on the CCs if you want to throw them into things, helps a lot.

Thanks for playing, it helps a noob out plenty. The dice box cuts the edges out which sucks on mobile. However showing targets on major plays is pretty cool. You get to see more of the figures and let’s us noobs know where it’s going. Thanks guys!

Guard is so funny. They have so many models that even with lots of hits and moral fails they have dozens left, but they can't hit the side of a barn, so they need that numerical advantage. So much happens for so little to happen.

as a long time guard i like the list but the only real success i have had was lots of russes or super heavy's witch is a shame.
Infantry only IG armies were good in 9th for a little while before they gave infantry squads that 5 point increase. You'd basically just bring like 250+ guys and swamp the objectives the entire game. Many meta armies simply didn't have the tools to counter it.
@@Phoenix2215 idk it may just be the local meta never had success with that inf only list then again most players in my local meta can't handle tank spam to well
Manticores are still very strong too, Plasma spam has value too as a throwaway damage dealing from reserves, plus I really like conscript blobs with an Inquisitor in support to gum up the mid-board. Even with failing to take the play in the last 10 games I won 6 of them.
If you can afford to include them 1 or 2 Hades Breaching Drills are amazing, with Crush Them they just delete so much relative to their cost, just casually deleting a full health Leviathan feels sweet.
Me: hoping someone runs solo knights on this channel at some point.

I don't understand 40k at all. I love the lore that I do know but the game is like speaking tongues.
TL:DR long rant in which I'm working out the rules based on the 2 games I've watched from bricky playing custodes (first game watched) and guards (this game)
However! Because of the 2 videos I've seen, I understand the concepts not the systems.
So in order for what I understand, some units roll for attack amount. Roll for attack hit. Roll for damage land (wounds?). Roll for damage done.
Each unit has a movement speed and attack range in inches (obviously because of the constant use of a tape measure)
Each unit has stats obviously but I don't understand the names and numbers yet. Toughness (T#?) seems to be a roll to see if they survive a mortal wound? Maybe not.
Charge is a distance game using 2 dice to move up to 12 inches. If you roll below the distance required in inches the charge fails and nothing moves I assume.
Some units have a retaliation attack against charges or attack phase MAYBE I'm not quite sure. But sometimes the other person gets to react to an attack.
Point based system OR army destruction win conditions I assume.
Guards roll a FUCK TON of attacks but rarely hit I assume "hit on 4" meaning they hit on 4 and up from what I witnessed in the roll box.
Psychic phase seems to be casting buffs or spells from what I gather.
Holy shit! Not being rude but if you line the box the same way as a crap table, they will always be on camera. Just food for thought.
