    Can you please share chakrasamvara mantra in sanskrit ?

    • @BuddhaWeekly
      @BuddhaWeekly Před 22 dny

      Although the Chakrasamvara heart mantra is just a praise with seed syllable (that one is usually fine), the practice mantras from this should have lung transmission and instruction. The most important part is instruction, as this is a Mother Highest Yoga tantra with inner body mandalas (inner body practices) which shouldn't be undertaken without instruction. (It's the same, for all mantras. If they're namo or homage mantras, it's usually okay if we practice with Bodhichitta, but not if they supplicate activity or require detailed instructions, and especially if it involves highest yoga tantras and inner body visualizations, etc.) Sorry we couldn't help. In kindness, BW.

    Can you tell me is she mentioned in Kangyur?

    • @BuddhaWeekly
      @BuddhaWeekly Před 18 dny +2

      There are a number of Scriptual sources, starting with Sutra and then some Vajrayana, and also there are variances between the lineages (see my last note below) (also less than 3 % of the Kangyur is translated to English right now, although 84000.co is working on it diligently).
      First, from Sutra:
      Locanā (लोचना) refers to the “eye (of the Buddha)”, according to the Gaganagañjaparipṛcchā: the eighth chapter of the Mahāsaṃnipāta (a collection of Mahāyāna Buddhist Sūtras).-Accordingly, “Then the Lord spoke the following verses to the Bodhisattva Puṇyālaṃkāra: ‘(233) Even though the Bodhisattva sees immeasurably extensive fields in ten directions by the eye of the Buddha (buddha-locanā), fills all those places with jewels, and gives them as a gift, if there is someone who retains, reads and teaches such excellent and unsullied sūtra which has been taught by many Buddhas, then his merit would be better.
      Here are some Kangyur, some terma, some mind terma:
      Locanā (लोचना) is the name of Vidyārājñī (i.e., “wisdom queen”) mentioned as attending the teachings in the 6th century Mañjuśrīmūlakalpa: one of the largest Kriyā Tantras devoted to Mañjuśrī (the Bodhisattva of wisdom) representing an encyclopedia of knowledge primarily concerned with ritualistic elements in Buddhism. The teachings in this text originate from Mañjuśrī and were taught to and by Buddha Śākyamuni in the presence of a large audience (including Locanā).
      She’s also a part of Heruka Mandala:
      Locanā (लोचना) is the name of a Ḍākinī who, together with the Vīra (hero) named Locana forms one of the 36 pairs situated in the Hṛdayacakra, according to the 10th century Ḍākārṇava chapter 15. Accordingly, the hṛdayacakra refers to one of the four divisions of the sahaja-puṭa (‘innate layer’), situated within the padma (lotus) in the middle of the Herukamaṇḍala. The 36 pairs of Ḍākinīs [viz., Locanā] and Vīras are reddish yellow in color; they each have one face and four arms; they hold a skull bowl, a skull staff, a small drum, and a knife.
      And this Chakrasamvara practice:
      Locanā (लोचना) is the name of a deity [i.e., oṃ locanāyai svāhā], according to the Guru Mandala Worship (maṇḍalārcana) ritual often performed in combination with the Cakrasaṃvara Samādhi, which refers to the primary pūjā and sādhanā practice of Newah Mahāyāna-Vajrayāna Buddhists in Nepal.
      There are also some differences in lineage practices and teachings, with Locana sometimes revered as consort of Ratnasambhava or even Vairochana, although these are less common that Akshobhya. (Ultimately, all the wisdom mothers are one essence, so it’s not a contradiction to think in these terms.)
      There's more, but I can't be exhaustive here.
      Hope this helps. For more encyclopedic coverage, I often recommend
