I accidentally came upon Javed Ali's songs on CZcams. He is by far the best singer after Mohammed Rafi. I have been a great fan of Rafi for the past sixty years. Javed Ali not only sings almost like Mohammed Rafi, but also keeps Rafi spirit alive. As young as he is, fame and recognition has not got to him. He not only sings like Rafi, but also has imbibed Rafi's modesty and sincerity. Modern day songs and singers do not touch the soul. Instead of film songs based on classical ragas, these days, they seem to mimic the western rap music. Singers who sing these do not touch your soul. Keep up the effort to keep Rafi's memory and music Javed Ali. I wish you the very best for a long and meaningful career in music.

I'm a huge huge fan of Rafi sahab.....I have been listening his songs since college days.....several singers came and sang Rafi sahab's songs....I find they are not matched for him.....even sonu nigam sang his several songs....but that magic was not there so I reject everyone .....Rafi is Rafi....no body can go even at par to him.....when rafi sings ...he takes me to out of the world....purely divine and magical.....it goes like floating of river without getting any obstacles ....how effortlessly he sings......today I realise there is one who is little more close to Rafi sahab....he is Javed Ali.....I mean not exactly sings like him but I keep him 1st position in this regard....I respect all singers please don't feel otherwise...
