I'm Danish. I've learned must of my English at the university of life.
I've got a few tips to improve.
Listen to audio books.
Listen to grammar lessons on CZcams.
Read aloud every day and speak as much as possible even to yourself.
Pick your accent -British or American
My best mate is an English x-pat, who speaks Danish, but we do "walk & talks" in English.
Take English lessons. I'm attending an English conversation class. I get by in English, but you can always improve.😉
Best of luck to all of you.
It was really informative! Thank you 🍻🍻
I hope to alot ourselves time to those who would like to practice English or share information on zoom app for the sake of practicing and sharing information.

very useful suggestions! Thank you, Laura!
Your videos are full of enthusiasm and fun. Thank you for this video!
I like this video! The problems you talked are exactly what I have. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks a lot 🌹. I agree with that, and other thing is, English learners sometimes don’t take care of learning phrasal verbs, for both formal and slang, which are widely used by English natives.
Thank you Laura, that's inspiring me. I know that I can't be speak better than you as a native speaker but at least I can make them understand what's I am saying to them.
I absolutely agree with everything you said. Thanks for the tips 😁
Glad it was helpful!
You explained well, I really love it!
This is one of your best videos I've seen so far and I know quite a lot of them! Thank you :)
Wow, thank you!☺️
This is great! Thanks ❤
This clip is what I need more than anything!Thank you:)
Great video once again. I subscribe to your channel because I plan on teaching English and one of the accents I want to teach is RP (the others are US accents). I am also actively learning Portuguese. One reason is so I can sing it. I love Brazilian music! Portuguese also has many similarities to Spanish which I already speak. But for reasons you described in this video I get bogged down sometimes. Thank you very much for these ideas. By the way, you and Berwyn are GREAT!!! These videos are so much fun! Keep up the good work and good luck to both of you!
Thanks for uploading useful information Niharika
Congrats! You teach so naturally to us. Really helpful 😘
Thank you! 😃
Hello. I'm learning English now. I will use your advice during learning. Thank you❤👍👍
Hi Laura...new here and happy to have found a good British English teacher who can help me. All good tips and true why's, I can clearly see me in them. I've been studying English for a while now and when you discover or find yourself emm not so good at speaking while you are on the other pillars of languages, I have spent too much time on writing, grammar, it's....sad, let's say.
I thought a thing, may the role game be useful in order to have that click in myself and start being comfortable speaking English, please?
I mean, interpreting some short dialogues with an audio to imitate, for instance.
Thank you again, I like your content very much...cheers from Italy! 😊🙏
Thank you so much for all those tips! It' is very helpful 👍
You're so welcome!☺️
Thanks for an educational and entertaining channel.
Here in southeast Michigan, I tutored English as second language in the Arab and Hispanic communities.

just what I've thought, 'cause I am also a CELTA teacher although not a native. We always have to keep the fire going and unlock the beauty of language, not least to make it fun 😇
Thank you.
Thankyou so much for your guidance ❤❤❤they were practical and useful
Good tricks you've told but I usually miss some of these that's the reason could be that I can't improve my target language.

@@smashingenglish You MAdE it ... We just love it... Hi from argentina 😎
soo helpful,thanks a lot!! really!!
You are amazing,, love you ❤
I totally agree with recording yourself. You don't need to buy lessons with tutors at the beginning - speak to a microphone and then listen to it. You'll find out what words you miss, what gramatic structures you are not sure about and you will practise speaking obviously.
this is my first time, I am watching you, you are so lovely. I will keep watching your video, thank you for your content. It is true for my seven mistakes. thanks again.
Thank you very much.....❤️
1. If you and read books then make a small Vlog
2. Lost your motivation. Take a test
3. Not speaking native. Use I.talki, cambly
4. Feel stuck, Need to watch regularly English TV show, Tik tok
5. You need to push yourself
6. Watch silent movie and repeat to explain
7. Progress seems small
8. Go out your comfort zone.
Thanks for these helpful tips .
Talking in English is not anymore challenging for me . I can speak confidently but I always find myself using the same vocabulary . I needa more practice.

Well said ‘ I just wanna say that listening is MAGIC! ‘ you’re not gonna belief your level what it would be when you listen a lot
Mam your teaching style is different from others tutors. Your accent also cool.
Actually, it is my first time to subscribe to this Channel, and I have a suggestion for you that to make a monthly live video in order to share with you our difficulties. If you don't mind that.
When I watch a TV series, do I watch it with subtitles or without it.

Hi teacher... You are really cute..
And your fabulous way of understandings is appreciated 👍
I've been trying to improve my English skills since ever!. But I'm a shy person, and find someone to practice English is hard. My listening is good, but speaking and writing (as you see) is a painful challenge.
your teaching style is gorgeous even you are beautiful
Hi Laura i was just wondering if you recommended any books for starting read a book
cute video design!
Thank you! 😊
I would just want to practice with you, yeah and I learn in one second❤
Yo dejé de estudiar inglés. Estaba intentando obtener el CAE, pero en mi trabajo no valoraban más allá del FCE. Así que lo dejé.
Good.
I learned English 16 years ago when I was 15 or 16 and it wad the best decision ever since it allowed me to have several well paid jobs where I live and I think learning is a never-ending process, so for those who still struggle with the language, just keep on practicing and switch your phone or your social media content to your target language and you'll get better at it with time, give yourself the motivation you need to do it and you'll see the results
How did you do?
@@JhonyLNI see as much English material as possible, once you get comfortable with the language, just 15 minutes a day is fine, and practice as much as you can, and you'll be on your way to improve your English level, and speaking to natives, that really helps to make yourself even more fluent in your target language
@@javicruz9754 thank you!! for me. I'm just feeling lost and Idk how to continue learning the language and that make me feel bad, I keep searching how to learn a language, tips, steps but all of those things makes me feel more confuse and stress. Did you felt this when you was learning? And how did you do for overcome this.
In primary school the teacher said I talked too much. School was the only place I spoke English. The teacher failed me.
I would love to share us some links of some English teachers who make online meetings for practiceing English.
You don't need to memorize many way of expressions in one situation, just one pattern is ok, because language is for communication not showing your knowledge. Besides, if you keep reading, you will memorize many ways of phrase subconsciously.
Learning phrases from listening is ideal, but we can't even understand it, so it's not so effective way to expand your vocabulary. And nobody do just reading forever and not try to speak. By reading you will get to know many phrases and be confident, then you will be comfortable to speak. Many non English
speakers who live in the UK don't improve their English even though they have conversation every day, because they just speak not read. It will take more time to learn phrases by repeating. Besides it's boring. Reading is fun and effective.
You don't need to record your English, because you don't know how native speakers express. It's way better to ask your tutors your mistakes.
Pero que agradable señora.
TV shows are indeed the easiest and very efficient tool...i learned most of my english from Friends (i had already known the series in my native language which made the process even easier)
Good....
This is my first time seeing your video. I was surprised when I saw this. I could feel that You resemble Sophie Marceau as soon as I saw you ★
I got just 6.0 in IELTS and I don't know how to learn new words because I am comfortable using the same vocabulary.
So far so good,I was not arlet of using my own vidio to learn grammar thanks.
Nice
Oh... I miss a lot this British accent!! ❤
Is any channel on CZcams to listen English on daily basis..

@@smashingenglish you're welcome😊
My motivation is british accent 🙂
Hello, I can speak English fluently, but my accent is like Indian. But I want to speak in American accent, British accent. Please make a video on that.
Hello from Indonesia
i have problems with grammar, for example: in which , on which, at which, from which , by which, I can’t figure out how to use them in a proper way, which is why I’ m bit timid when i speak in public.
I remember you once taught your audience English through a song. I really liked your singing voice. If you need any easy song suggestions, I recommend "The Wellerman".
I agree that pride kill language development, I am suffering from it in learning English.
For example I live in a non-English speaking environment and can't use the language every day. How can you support or use English as in my case?
First time I'm watching your video 😌
Love
I hate how a can understanding everything in videos like this but as soon as I turn on the TV I don't get anything. I feel so frustrated.
are there any books specifically, you would recommend for improving your English vocabulary? 🤔
I hope one day i can speak english like a native speakers
Its my goal ini my life🥰
Good best of luck
