Feel bad for people that get labelled a narcissist, 9 times out of 10 they’re just a twat.
😂
A very overused term to describe people who are simply just pricks 😂.
Everyone has some narcissistic tendencies tbf, on the internet people have just learned the word and overuse it when people are selfish dickheads
Facts
FACTS. Most of the people mislabelling them as such are also twats. We're not psychologists
I’ve always read these comments and never really understand the weight of them. I (a man) was in a long term abusive relationship with a girl, and listening to this podcast initially took me to some dark places as it helped my brain bring some dark thoughts and moments back. The way you’ve both spoken about these subjects throughout the podcast have made me really proud to take the next step and go through the therapy necessary to process these experiences and I’m writing form to ask for the relevant help as we speak. I’ve suppressed this for years as I’ve felt weak and ashamed to open up about it, and honestly this podcast has changed that for me, if you ever lose sight of why these conversations are important this is why. Thank you both!
Proud of you man!
go gym
Hope lefty lawrence has his tampons in for this episode 🙉

Oh man, you are carrying guilt and shame that was never meant for you. I'm going to say something you'd never expect to hear from a woman. Yes, you need to share these feelings but I don't recommend you sharing them with a female. It's kind of okay like here in a comments section because it's not as interpersonal as in real life. You were manipulated by a woman. So you will have built in defenses and programmed automatic responses to women. Nothing wrong about that. As a matter of fact that's perfectly normal. What you need are videos like this and other men who have experienced what you have. You can absorb information about narcissistic manipulation, gaslighting and just plain cruelty only if you can relax and let down your walls. I think that would be next to impossible with a female right now. And for a very good reason. Peace bro. First learn what happened to you then you can take back your sovereignty and release that shame because it is not yours to carry. That was the only way it worked for me and kind of everyone who has been entangled by a toxic narcissist that I've met. Male or female, a narcissist is a parasite that lures you in with love bombing then proceeds to feed off of you.
My ears are burning. Big love gents
Brian this is 100% the route to go down. Podcasts with people who are intelligent and/or have amazing stories to tell that can help people. Back to your roots. Fuck the views, your loyal fan base will always stick by you
"Roots", not routes.
Personally I think he's better off without all the hanger ons who were using him and his platform for years. The cream always rises to the top.

I've followed Richard for a few years now. His emotional flashback content really helped me recover after a relationship with a narc who I loved deeply - took me so damn long to figure out she was a narc - discovered my own codependency and got some therapy. I'm alive because of the resources and validation I found in his resources. Great discussion - thanks for sharing
A fan of Richard Grannon.
I genuinely think this may be one of the best TG podcasts to date. A really interesting, organic and capitvating podcast
Except it lacked self awareness.
Couldn’t agree more fucking amazing podcast. Pt 2 is needed
Is this your first time watching Richard? If so, I highly recommend that you watch his other stuff. He is fantastic.
In the same way that your inane comment lacks any substance?
At some point I heard the phrase "Narcissists are in love with their own reflection" and so I took it to mean that they're just sort of *a level above conceited* . But then I met someone who was literally incapable of ever admitting wrong doing and it was driving me insane, this behavior. I began searching because I knew it must have a name: thats when I came across *Narcissist* .
A lot of people (including me) don't agree that there is healthy narcissism, I think its better to call it healthy confidence and self esteem, neither of which narcissists have
Yes, I agree.
@@demi8890 I did not assume that the comment implied that they are not human and should be treated like a rabid animal. The contradictions in Narcissism that I have observed is that they, on the one hand have this grandiosity and desire for control and on the other hand, really need the admiration and esteem from the outside world, to up hold their ego ideal. The narcissist I know, shapeshifted himself to everyone he met, in order to illicit the admiration.. the personality is fragmented. I have heard much disagreement in whether therapy and help actually works. Their defensive structure is impenetrable. I have much empathy for their emptiness. They usually end up , old ,alone and broken, as the gap widens between their fantasy world and their reality. Maybe one day, we can find a way to help.
honestly one the best podcasts bryan has done in a long time. great work and i highly encourage you having this guy more often. this is the root of true Geordie as a brand and going back to mental health and going back to that psycho analysis.
I dated a girl, not sure if she was a narcissist or borderline personality. Either way it was hell which almost (literally) destroyed me, but surviving it made me stronger
@@demi8890 firstly a personality disorder isn’t a mental illness, secondary I can’t force an adult to seek professional help I can only advise it which I did numerous times, thirdly it a fucking nightmare to get seen to for mental health issues in the U.K. fourthly I did get out, fifthly go fuck yourself you clearly have no idea what it’s like being in psychologically and emotionally abusive relationship, like this psychologist said if you watched the podcast being in relationship with a narcissist is like rolling with a blackbelt their levels of manipulation is on another level and even he struggled with it, and on top of all this you are somehow blaming me for her abusive behaviour?
Been there. At least you now know a bunch of red flags to look out for
@@tyroncloete8113 a pretty face, killer body and an amazing shag is pretty good at camouflaging those red flags 😂
It's been a pleasure to see 2 real men with emotions, along with authentic life experiences. Just had my first narcissist or? Thought I was losing my mind. He stole my car and the police were very familiar with him. First thing police said was do you know what gaslighting is? Then he finally was arrested and for myself I started reading and learning. It was awful, still recovering, thanks.
It's so good to hear these two talk
I've been researching narcissism for the last two weeks and realized there was a whole lot more than initially expected and discovered that it was infecting my life more than I ever knew
This was a fantastic podcast guys. These 2 hours flew by. Much needed in these narcissistic times. I would love to see a part 2 on this topic as you both have great chemistry in talking about this heavy topic in an informative but humorous manner.
I finally got out from under the yoke of a long-term narcissist, it took me years but I finally did it. It was Richard's videos which helped me at the very beginning of my healing journey.
This has been such a great podcast, Brian. Really loved it. You’re so great at these and are the antidote to the men we are seeing online right now. Your honesty about your own slip into that bollocks of the fancy car is raw and true. I’m here for it! X
the timing of this is unreal, thank you Brian
I adore this entire conversation!!❤❤
Thank you both for sharing your time and thoughts. ❤️🖖
Been following Richard for years. Good guy and knows what he's talking about.
So cool to see these two link up.
Many videos of Richard Grannon have I watched; THIS has been the most brilliant not only on the focused subject matter but also with Richard at his most brilliant. Well done, well done, and thank you kindly. There is great accomplishment and satisfaction in reclaiming life after a life held in the grips of narcissism.
Such a great conversation and topics. Richard is a life changer. Thank you guys.
Fantastic interview, for both, I think. New subscriber here. I really appreciated the two strong men being open and vulnerable with each other in such a masculine way. 😉 Richard has been in my subscription list for quite some time, and now I will add another seemingly good man to that list. Thanks so much. Have a great time living authentically. It really is the best way to go.
Best interview on this topic I have ever come across. Could t have come at a better time too. A Million thanks for sharing your wisdom with us all.
Two great men! So happy that you got together to speak about this topic
🤡
Two great men?
Great episode! Men are bullied terribly but always suffer in silence. Being abused by a female is mostly always hidden by men, i endured it and went through hell, just speak out and remove yourself from nasty relationships.
Fancy seeing you in here Richard! Can't wait to watch this.
One of thee best and most relevant conversations of our time. Thanks for having it.
Richard is really good. I hope he knows just how much he has helped me. Making sense of the world really helps to move on however one thing I discovered is being honest with yourself.
Great work True Geordie ! I’ve been following and listening to Richard for years. Good choice in guest ! I can’t think of anyone that knows as much as Richard Grannon about these topics.
I needed to hear this today. Thank you Geordie - I will always be a fan of your podcast.
I dated a narcissist a few years ago for only a few weeks and I got out quickly… I’m now in a really healthy relationship (several years together without so much as a bad argument); she is still single and just posting fake lifestyle stuff online. Early warning signs for me were - 1. She made me feel like I was worthless and insane/unreasonable 2. She re-framed everything I said (however innocent or neutral) to an interpretation that I was somehow a psycho or a narcissist myself (she was obviously projecting herself onto me). 3. She was constantly emphasising how I was obsessed with her because she is so beautiful , but never complimented me on anything 4. She had an absent father (seems to have left her at a very early age- this was not her fault obviously) 5. She inappropriately turned nearly every one of our conversations (about anything at all) in dirty sex talk. 6. She was absolutely uninterested in how anyone else felt, but obsessed over her own feelings and how other ppl (particularly me) made her feel. GET OUT EARLY before they exhaust you
they are also INCAPABLE of ever admitting wrongdoing. No matter what they did / caused , it is ASTONISHING.
@@0MissElizabeth0 Just like most women
I love True Geordie. But he's got some major blindspots. Apparently narcissists dominating the internet is a problem, yet Brian constantly promotes and roots for Jake Paul...
Jake Paul is a just a persona to create business and entertainment. Can’t hate him for it.
@@angejo5591 There's plenty of evidence that he's a jerk in private too.
@@eliaskhoury768 I agree he’s a jerk but he’s definitely exaggerated his personality for the cameras and promotion
People will sometimes go against their principles for the bag. You have to be an opportunist to be successful unfortunately.
The overt narcissists are dangerous but less dangerous cos they're so obvious and we know what annoys them and what pleases them.
1:22:07 this bit of reflection from Žižek might have just now saved my sexuality and healed a deep wound I've had all my life in only 15 seconds. I can feel my chemicals reacting to the thought, and I understand why things worked and others didn't. The whole video is a great mind booster and you guys as a duo are something I'd really like to watch again. Thanks for taking the time to sit down and make us think.
Incredible podcast and well thought out questions / conversations to have with Richard, thank you TG & RG!
Great episode. Probably one of you best! Learned a lot from this. Keep up the good work!
incredible podcast, so insightful and thought provoking. loved this guest. brilliant. well done Brian!
Why the hateful comments? I think these two men are great… Learning is always good…
Such a good conversation. Thanks to you both.
This is one of the best TG pods I’ve listened to! People throw the word narcissist left, right and Center not really knowing the full meaning of the word. I appreciate that these guys have gone deeper into it and spreading some education on it. Loved this! 😊
Great content. I am learning to open my heart wisely now. This discussion is very helpful on spotting traits that make a good friends.
I'm new to the podcast world but this was one of the most satisfying conversations I've seen on this subject. Both of your perspectives were spot-on: thoughtful, funny, and empathetic, and your well-timed humor is just an added bonus to such a deep conversation. Thanks!:)
Great discussion. Thanks
Said it many times. TG is one of the best podcasts if not the best out there. Shame such a high portion of the population aren’t intelligent enough to see it.
Great stuff, thank you both. This chat it did answer to some questions in my mind. Obrigado
Such an enjoyable listen. Love when y’all laugh. Such good natured dudes.
Nice one! Richard is fantastic!!
Great podcast Brian and great guest 👏🏻👏🏻
I've watched this twice in one day, nothing like a proper watch to get to know how to avoid narcissists like the plague.
I think you have got real value content Georgie. I startet listening years ago by accident with all the football content...but you seem like a very open minded person with all the other content. Bless you man

Thank you so much for this, it was SO insightful with plenty of food for thought.
Thank you! 🙂
Dude this was amazing. Your guest is awesome
Thank your true Geordie I’ve learnt so much from this. Best podcast yet!
Brilliant podcast this, thoroughly enjoyed listening to this discussion and definitely describes the online social media world very well. I also really liked the description of true happiness as ‘going for a sandwich with your girlfriend who you love’ rather than big fancy cars and what not. Definitely should focus on doing more of these types of podcasts, feels like the old school True Geordie videos are coming back 💪
The choice in naming the title is a High IQ decision - good to see another pod out Brian 🍻
This was a wonderful conversation especially for mothers trying to raise good men.
I learned so much from you guys here. Gotta be one of the best podcasts! So good ❤️🙏 thank you
Someone who actually speaks sense about narcissism everything you say reminds me of this one guy I knew who messed with my life and loads of other peoples lives. He was someone I lived with at Uni and basically he tried to get me thrown out of university because I didn’t go along with his ridiculous drama. I won’t go into details about what he did but he left me feeling broken for about 2 years and it took me a long time to recover from and even made me have to retake a year because of the trauma it caused.
Loved it 👍🙏. Thank you both!!
Love this podcast wow definitely one of my favourites to date.

NO WAY!! I've dreamed about this podcast for years and never thought I'd see two of my absolute favourite people meet. Not even started watching and I'm so happy ☺️☺️☺️
This is a great talk. Two men talking like this is great to listen to
I've followed you since 2015. This has to be one of your best podcasts
Halfway through this podcast, and wow. this has been good so far. I love hearing the dialogue about how women can easily manipulate men emotionally. Definitely have been in that situation before and have realized that while it has been happening.
Richards amazing. Followed his witk for a number of years. Great episode for you’re podcast mate 👍
My favourite podcast episode I've listened to this year. Top notch!
Excellent, Thank you!
Tragic comment section, either go out and touch grass or pipe down and watch the video
Love this duo, Always so correct. It can be a lonely place to think the way they do. This is the world we live in, evil is worshipped and victims are persecuted. Watching that happen on mainstream media is horrific. And thanks to Richard Grannon for this informative podcast.
So why do you watch this pervert?? The guys probably a goof too
Holy freeeaking moly. This conversation was ahhhmazinggg. I listened off & on throughout my day. Great food for deeper thought. I loved every bit of it. The part about Daddy issues. Wow. Mind blown. I have had Daddy issues & I do have an inner child that does come to the surface. She used to cause A LOT of issues in my life... because I was unconcious to her even being within me. I hadn't thought about her until I had hit rock bottom & recognized that my childhood really fucking hurt me. Now my inner child is reassured that she's loved & protected & that this adult human that shares space with her is running the show. My Daddy issues do not come to the bedroom. I'm sure they have at some point in the past... but definitely not anymore.
It's such a bummer there are so many hurt people dating around & hurting people. I feel the best gift someone can give themselves is TIME on their own SINGLE, at least until they've reached a point of feeling really fucking good on their own & they have some clarity around the last relationship. I've been reminded a lot, that actively loving myself requires dedication, compassion, grace, playfulness, & getting back up when I fall into the shadow. Being in a relationship requires the same. I recognize that at this point in my life I do not have capacity to give to another or even to really receive. I have inner work to do.
After watching Richard for a while, I started worrying I was narcissistic. I'm not. I do have narcissistic tendencies depending on many factors. Grateful to hear it is absolutely necessary to have narcissistic traits to survive in this World. I'm grateful for this interview because it brings my awareness to so much. Hearing important aspects of life (Men & Women) discussed by 2 Men from their individual perspectives is wonderful. I really enjoyed this. Thank you. 👍💙✌️
Patience is very important, where i come from they used to say; god love patient people … for example narcissistic person are not patient at all, quite opposit narcissit hate to wait, in my opinion one of the many reason they cheat. Sad but true, fact is i lost trust generally in people … trust nobody 100%
ok mommy

Amazing video!! Thank you
40:00 ‘42 in two weeks and just getting it’ this was so nice to hear as I just celebrated the 42nd birthday & 1 full year of weekly therapy and I feel like I’m exactly where I was five years ago - and added pressure to GET WELL is only amplified because of my age was really wearing on me. To hear someone like you with a similar background to mine say something like that was really feeling today I really needed that thank you. Men are not the only ones that keep their darkest moments bottled up inside. I think maybe man are just better at hiding it because it’s fucking killing me. Slowly every day I get closer and closer to giving up. So many things have been done to me and the worst part is that most of the people that know, think I deserved it in someway. I’m starting to believe them and just feel like giving up
1:41 You’re talking about women not wanting to have sex after a fight and I think you’re talking about a very specific woman that is more in love with you with the suck so I would recommend being very careful about initiating intimacy after fights because you’re gonna start a program that woman to want sex after a fight or start a fight so she can have sex

Pure gem 💎 of a podcast is this well done. I’ve followed Richard Grannon since 2010 👍🥊
My ex (woman) I can't confirm is a narcissist but she ticks every single box, not to mention the scenarios you've explained and I've experienced those with her many times, often confused and ending up loosing an argument, feeling guilty and like I'm the bad guy when really she was the one who fucked up and I questioned her, she gaslit me to the point of me believing everything she said, for so long I believed her lies until one day I had enough and couldn't take it anymore I promised myself that I would never believe anything she says again unless the proof is in front of you and I believe I saved myself from years more of potential wasted time with her, it was terribly hard to let go they have such a way of making you hold onto the memory of the good that you can't see the bad
