Your saw looks like a newer version of mine. May I ask where you get your replacement blades. How about jade Are you able to make good money selling that an agate

Its amazing to see what is going on in these stones. Ive been hunting arrowheads for over 40 years, im just now getting into the rock cutting. Too much fun, I’ll go fishing, artifact hunting, and gemstone hunting, all in the same places…

The colours of this rock are amazing and quite unexpected. I love the opalescence of the sliver.

Hettie, What sort of pieces are you collecting? You're from South Africa?

@@AgateAngler Good morning! Yes im from South Africa. We have a stream near my house where my daughter and i collect agates, red jaspers, various shades of qaurtz and even found some petrified wood and i even found black rock with blood red shading in it!
I dont think there are alot of rock hunters in my area. My brother gave me his collection from travelling our country and included pyrite, magnitite (hope im spelling it right) rose qaurtz crystals to name a few. I personally dug out the most beautiful crystals in Knysna but i unfortunately dont get to travel much anymore. My garden is running out of space 😂😂😂

@@HettieJansenVanVuuren How cool that you can hunt so close to your home. Sounds like you find some awesome stuff. I know that the African continent produces some incredible agates and minerals. Thanks so much for watching the video!

@@AgateAngler anytime! I would love to get some rough Botswana agates, i bought 4 small polished ones yesterday at a little gem shop. My brothers are going hunting close to the border next month, he wont know what an agate is but i have done research and there are crystals woth green shading in the area. So he needs to hunt for stones for me as well not just antelope! The great thing is the population there is very thin so the crystals are still in structure 💃💃💃😍😍😍

Lovely conversation. I'm in Nevada and I am creating a rock museum without the rocks I've found mostly on the West side of America. Absolutely fascinating and wonderful. Your black rock with red sounds like obsidian, volcanic glass?

Very nice. I would have loved to see the slice backed by a bright light or an opaque white or black. It would really highlight the stone.
