    Makes totally sense as long as the 15 volt setting is in between the logarithm setting

      I was like dang this going to be a pain in the butt. Then playing around with the setting I found that. Was so happy LOL.. In a few weeks there will be no real need for it. As it will be back in full sun most the day. Right now the suns just in the right spot to not make much power. Not that I care. All I care is the security cameras work and the motion detectors lights work. This is all fine.

    nice video on that handy function. I use it for garage lights and all of the units in the x/10, x/15, andx/20 have this feature. You can use it to turn on a small fan during the day too to cool another controller (i.e. a larger controller)....cheaper than buying relay and such

    @JustinCaseSolarPower Před rokem +2

    The bigger units don't have the street light function Bobby just the smaller units. Never needed to use it though. The bigger units have 2x build in relays that can do all sorts or thing. Most high end controllers have them.

      That is cool man. Was so happy to find this setting LOL. I just care that the security cameras work and the motion detectors lights work. The streetlight are just a bonus. Just a few more weeks and it will be back in full sun light. Thanks brother. God Bless

    Bobby, only one hour of light tells me that you need more batteries. I don't think that you get any return on your money spent to power a street light possibly for one hour at best, if at all.

    • @yankey4
      @yankey4  Před rokem +1

      The streetlight are just a bonus. All I care is the security cameras work and the motion detectors lights work. Sorry I did not make that clear in the video. Here in a few weeks i will be back to full sun. This one is in a bad spot for this time of year. Thanks brother. God Bless.

    How do you wire a streetlight with an extra fuse and switch or just straight wired to the light ? Tia

    • @yankey4
      @yankey4  Před měsícem

      it has it own fuse in line. and the power is coming from the controler. It's turning it on and off with it's built in program..

    Nice setup. What cells and where to purchase?
    I installed some motion detector security lights on my power shed. They worked one night and now both just stay on all night long. They are powered from my off grid sol ark 12k. Any ideas?

      No clue sorry. I got my 18650 from battery hookups. Where used for cheap. Still think most where new. They do sell new. You can use my code BSH to save 5% batteryhookup.com/. God Bless.

  • @southernohiosolarhomestead8477

    Can you run lithiums , I couldn’t find any info on the lithium batteries on this one

    • @yankey4
      @yankey4  Před rokem +2

      100% mine are. There is a lithium setting or you can just put your own setting in. I am using Salvage 18650 cells. Same that are in the old Tesla batteries

    Do you think I can use this type of controllers for wind turbine with rectifier SSR and volt regulator for dump load. I see this Victron got a dump load on.

    • @yankey4
      @yankey4  Před rokem +1

      I do not know. I know a lot of the guys use the midnight classic for wind. They let you do things like power curves. Hope this helps. God Bless
