I think not
I always imagined that N.Gin could remove his cybernetic eye just wasn't expecting it to actually become official. Also it appears his eye falls out due to the pressure caused by the missile as it seems to move and push against his head as he seethes with rage, just wish they added some fire and smoke coming from the exhaust like the original did.
Oh and his cybernetic eye appears to have a mind of it's on as it's trying to crawl away before he grabs it.

I do not understand how the cybernetic eye had a mind of it's own. Did someone make a robot with a cybernetic eye that has a mind of it's own, and then N. Gin as a complete human fused with that robot? What are the names of the robot and human? The robot was probably N. Something and the human was Dr. Gin, but I'm not sure about his first name.
