Mangalore Food Tour | Paradise for Food Lovers | New Tajmahal Cafe Mangalore,Giri Manja's Mangalore

Sitting on the Arabian Sea, Mangaluru (formerly Mangalore) keeps many a foodie hooked with its sensational, spicy seafood and Konkan style Food. The wide variety of seafood cooked with spicy Mangalorean masala is very famous in all over India. So in this video we have explored some delicious authentic Mangalorean Cuisine in some famous restaurants of Mangalore.

New Taj Mahal Cafe:
This is a very old Cafe in Mangalore. They serve wide variety of Konkan style breakfast. Mangalore style sweets also available. Price is reasonable. Mangalore Bun served here is very unique and puffy.
Giri Manja's:
Tucked in the bylanes of Mangalore, this place gives you the simple old style restaurant vibe. One need to buy the rice plate and seafood items separately. I took basic fish thali, Prawns Fry and ghee roast, Seer Fish (Anjal/Sormai/Vanjaram) tawa fry and Nang Fish fry. Fish Thali Plate has rice, papad, veg fry curries, a small Sardine fish and fish curry(gravy only). They provide rasam as well. Freshness of prawns can be felt as soon as one takes a bite. The Masala for Tawa fry had a very different taste (little Sour, litte Pungent). I tried their special Bonda Lime (Raw Coconut Lime) juice , it provided a perfect end to the meal.

U enjoy eating. Don't mash prawns or fish. It looks dirty when u press fish or prawns to show masale., you have wasted the food. Please dont forget that most of the people residing in Costsl areas are fish eaters., u must have seen this for the first time because such items r not prepared in your home town., u don't use coconut, whereas we use coconut as a base for masala , so fish items r new to you.
