I remember getting kind of addicted to a tv show called "Lost", some years back. I think Fridays with SLC is going to be my new thing. Very cool.
Yeah, MOUNTED SHOOTING!!!! You know, I AM looking for a sponsor….no joke! Either way, thank you for pointing out the correct pronunciation of “chaps”. You guys are great!!! Picture it….super cool cowgirl, blasting around on a little bay mare, gun in each hand…all decked out in materials Springfield Leather gave me! Big ‘ol SLC on the back of a pearl snap…!!!!! ❤ lol, love this video!
This has easily become my favorite leather work channel!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Hi from Russia! Bryansk, Thanks for information and positivity!
Love this!! would love to have a motorcycle chaps pattern! :). I guess it could be easily made as a set of MC chaps now that I realize there's a zipper. Cool.
Hey guys, I really enjoy the programs and I learn a lot from all of you. Thanks again. Can you repeat the messurements please, there's one I could'nt quite get (from the belt to slmewhere by the cane of the boot or something). Look forward to your next programs. Hugs from Colombia
Thank you, this is interesting
These are great videos. Thanks. Where did you get the cutting board.
South Africa, Cape Town
What kind of material do you have in your little white bag
Brazil 🤩
Denny, You said don't cut 2 left legs. Well I have made a lot of chaps and still made that mistake one time. Darrell
We think at some point we all do or will.
It’s good to know how to trace the pattern on leather. But how do you make the pattern?
Do you mean like how to measure the person for them?
How much you guy chargefof a pair of shotgun chaps
This has a nothing to do with chaps but I need to make a harness for my tracking bloodhound what weight of leather would I use? We look for missing victims so it has to handle water dirt mud ect
You're looking for about 8-10 ounce leather. I'd go with Latigo or Harness, as the infused fats and oils make it naturally water and grime resistant.
So how does it work if you're taller then her and the pattern is just big enough for her? Do you just free form draw to extend the patter onto the work piece
Slide the pattern down
I always miss the live show, but I would like to know if you sell that large white cutting board Denny is using? Or where I can get one!
I priced a 24" x 48" x 1/2" HDPE textured cutting board from a local plastics company and it was about $110. That does not include rounding the corners or edges. Full sheets of 48" x 96" was $10 per sq. ft. ($320). Springfield may sell them for less, but the shipping would be pricey due to the size.
@@kminer49er I was looking at McMaster-Carr's website and it's pricey. I've ordered HDPE from them before when I had my wood working shop. And shipping is pretty high when you get in the bigger sizes.
Look at your local restaurant supply store.
@@jordanfrazer9454 LOL, The nearest one is over 100 miles away. I have to order everything. We don't even have a grocery store in town.
@@Woodys_Workshop I feel ya. We have a grocery store but it has a hitching post in front of it that still gets used.
Wanted to buy a small thing like the leather gauge from you website but no shipping over seas is there a way where you could send this to Australia
If you can call in we can hook you up with international shipping.
@@SpringfieldLeather I don’t know what you mean call in you mean by phone because I’m pretty sure that’s what you mean as I live in Australia
@@GBLW or you can email Liz at liz@springfieldleather.com.
The reason shipping international is off on the website is because it calculates the rate very high, so we prefer to do it over the phone or email. That way we can get you the best rate.
Chaparral is a roadrunner.
You guys do a great job. Good Info and explanations. A favor for your audience, please. Repeat clearly the questions from off camera before answering them. Thanks and keep up the good work.
We are trying a new way to get the questions to those on camera to be able to ask.
It comes from shapareros…
“ohhh CHapareros”
…😡
😂😂😂😂
Chaparreras in Spanish!
east coast say Chap as in Chapstick west is chap as in shap..... hurts my ears too
"Ch"aps are your friends from England. Ch(sh)aps are what you wear..
IT'S. PRONOUNCED. "SH"AaAaAaAaAaAaAAAAAP!!!. Lol. That always gets on my nerves. One of my only pet peeves.
Your translation is not correct.
CHAPARRERAS is the correct word and not chaparreros! Check it before you get it out to the millions…..
