My parents took me and my brother to Disneyland on the 3rd day it was open, I was almost 6 years old and now I am 70 and still remember almost everything about that fantastic day. On our way home, we stopped and picked a few oranges right across the street from Disneyland.

Nothing can beat the original Disneyland. Things were simple back then and it was really like a fairyland. I enjoyed that little boat ride through the miniature village and houses. I think that It's a Small World ride replaced it. I was there in the first week of its opening. Even the cracks in the buildings were brand new.

I spent a fantastic day during my childhood in 1968 . I , was so fortunate to be that kid. I , my mom and dad, had a guided tour of Disneyland. She was awesome , she took us everywhere it was so fantastic behind the scenes as a little boy,i got to see pirates of the Caribbean, I ate my 1st Monte cristo sandwich at the restaurant at the pirates of the Caribbean. What a great day in my life. 😮😮

no roller coaster, plundering pirates or happy haunts, and still it looked like a whole lot of fun could be had back then. some of my earliest memories of the park are riding the mules through the painted desert, and tuna sandwiches at capt. hook's pirate ship restaurant. i'm so glad i was old enough to store them in my brain forever.

I loved going to Disneyland in the early 60's with my family.
Hearing Jiminy Cricket sing his famous song as a child inspired me to set a life's goal and work at NASA.

Before everyone waited for dad to come from work and have dinner together.
Nowadays Dad comes from work to see an empty dinner table and list by the fridge that say's.....
Monica is a her piano classes.
      David at his soccer game.
Mom fixing and dying her hair.
And last......Dad your dinner is in the fridge.
