  • Walking to see Hengifoss waterfall in Iceland. Hengifoss is the third highest waterfall in Iceland, 128 meters, located in Hengifossá in Fljótsdalshreppur, East Iceland. It faces Lagarfljót lake and Hallormsstaðarskógur forest. The waterfall is surrounded by basaltic strata with thin, red layers of clay between the basaltic layers. Hengifoss is the most popular hiking site in East Iceland. It takes 30-60 minutes to walk to the waterfall.
    01:38 - Hengifossá river.
16:05 - A view of one of the tallest steeple or pillars of rock
    by Litlanesfoss waterfall.
25:48 - Hengifoss is the second tallest waterfall in Iceland, 128 meters.
26:27 - Interbasaltic strata of reddish sandy clay formed from volcanic ash and surface scoria on lava layers are to be seen in many places. In time they form soil. In the warm damp climate of the Tertiary Period, clay and iron compounds were formed in the soil. Then when the next layer of lava flowed over the acidic soil, the iron reacted with the oxygen, resulting in the reddish colouring in the intermediate layer and the glowing lava burned the top part of the layer beneath it, also colouring it red.

Great video. I'm amazed it was shot on a GoPro. I should pull out my Hero 8 and use it more. Did you change any of the default settings within the GoPro like iso or color or hyper boost, etc.? Just curious, as again it looks great in your video! I'm sure the gimbal helps too.
