For those wondering, the Fender Washers are from Mcmaster Carr: it's a m6 countersunk washer (97280A1237) with a stainless m6x1.0mm-25mm countersunk bolt
Thanks man. Just got my 3th gen Camaro back from the painter in rally green metallic have to save some money to start tuning and I love the new blinkers going to get them too thanks
Thanks for that. Will be changing panels between 2 cars this week, I hope. That gap between the hood and panels seems to be normal, both my bodies and others I have seen.
I got them from Mcmaster Carr: it's a m6 countersunk washer (97280A1237) with a stainless m6x1.0mm-25mm countersunk bolt about $1.5 each for the washers.
Where are you going to tune your ls1 at? Wongs performance maybe? Or are you just going to street tune it yourself? Great video and very clean instal!!
Nice work! Do those ducts on your turn lights hook up to anything? I have a '91 with the 5.7L and she runs a little hot if it's 30 degrees celsius out, any thought?
@@3rdGenGuy thanks for the tip, my temp gauge was in the red and the car just shut down on me. Took a break on the side of the road for a half hour and she fired back up, has happened a couple times on the hotter days of summer

I got them from Starbuck designs. he sold them to me at cost, very nice of him. starbuckinnovativedesigns.com/collections/3rd-generation-camaro-firebird
with the GFX, I just tapped the OEM studs for m6 nuts. the stock stuff is a weird sheet metal nut. fender bolts part # exe are listed in the top of the comments.

I like how you painted all the parts separately then assembled them. That's very thorough.
Love the soft soothing calming music. When I'm working on my Third Gen there is a much more "PG-13" sound track of foul language in the garage.
Such an impressive piece of work and well documented too. Very happy for you man.
Great content ! Dude eventually mine will be painted white
Super clean 3rd gen, wow.
Looking great. 👍

Love the video

that hood was zero gap on 1 side and like 3/8in on the other.
and wavy.
no good lol,
love it
I really like the bolts you used on your fender. Where did you get them if you don’t mind me asking. Thanks
Seconded.. A breakdown of the non-stock hardware would be great.

Wongs' performance is on my list.
I'm still waiting on a few things before Dyno time.

those ducts are mainly for the brakes, Although they could be used elsewhere.
also, anything under 230F isn't overheating in a 3rd gen.

9 times outta 10, the air dam under the radiator is gone or damaged.
@@3rdGenGuy thanks I'll have a look, I'm pretty new to this but I'm here to learn haha
Love your videos. Any chance you have something to fix the door sagging?
it's on my list, but man is my list long ha ha.
The front lights, that are running and turn, is there a part number? Or where did you get them?
they are from 'Starbuck Innovative Designs"

Great looking car and project! What size wheel and tire you going to run?
thanks, ct
I run Forged 18x11 with 315/30R18 race tires for events.
@ the stock wheels for bad weather.
I have videos on the wheel combo on my channel.
@@3rdGenGuy ok - thanks- i'll have to look back for that video!

Where can you get the bolts that hold your fender in ?
any hardware store. it's just a stainless bolt.
Where did you get the air duct for the radiator,
OEM part.
So junkyard or a online listing.
Where did you get the modified crash bar?
cut up my stock crash bar myself.
some welding and a hole saw does the rest.
What bolt did you replace the lower fender bolt with?
Also what other fasteners did you use fender bolts, push pins and do you know wat size the ground effect hardware is
with the GFX, I just tapped the OEM studs for m6 nuts.
the stock stuff is a weird sheet metal nut.
fender bolts part # exe are listed in the top of the comments.
@@3rdGenGuy so you use the same bolts bolts as the top 5 fender mount bolts
the fender top bolts are m6
Did you say M6 bolts?
ya, on my 1992, the bolts are M6x1.0mm.
I used 25mm long bolts, although I think 20mm would have worked.
