Born free generation understand very well the struggle that took place for them to be born in freedom however the politicians who emerged as leaders from the liberation struggle are the ones who have lost sight of the very thing they supposedly fought for.

One thing I noticed, the born frees (Ama2000) born overseas (UK etc) are so keen to find their roots more than those in Zimbabwe. I believe these are the people who will transform and build Zimbabwe because they are not interested in partisan politics.

The concept of independence is fake. The vampires needed blood. To think that our country would be back to were it was before colonialism is a phony idea. People in control of the world are vampires they need blood and they use African dictators to start senseless wars. War is a profitable business. Zanu Pf will rule until eternity because they owe a lot of money to people who gave them guns to fight that senseless war.

At independence, we were supposed to transform them into national institutions of some sort, in same way we did ZANLA and ZIPRA. This would have allowed Zimbabwe to have real political parties. Today, our political landscape is messed up because of this mistake.

When you are approaching old age (40+ years), you can no longer run away from your roots anymore.Mbuya Nehanda is your founding mother. These are songs that will ring in your subconscious and deep sleep, not Amapiano, Hip Hop or Dancehall. Of course, there are Sungura songs which make you reminisce and nostalgic as well. Most of these artists are dead.
Mugabe did what he had to do under pressure from the war veterans and land hungry populace. Whoever was going to be the leader of a new Zimbabwe in 1980 would eventually be pressured by the war veterans to grab land, otherwise they would be overthrown and called a coward or sellout like Muzorewa and Canaan Banana. Mugabe should have retired soon after grabbing land, but hey I am not God. Farms should have been shared 50/50 with black people like the South African BEE program to ensure continuity and production. But would the Rhodesians agree to this set up, considering they were very arrogant?

On the day we remember our heroes for their sacrifice, the second republic have tried to infuse our history into our consciousness. It is up to us all to appreciate their effort Zimbabwe is ours to destroy and build. The choice is for those who can protect one person vote . Unity is the winner
