    In English:
    Vitas is a Latvian singer, who moved as a child to Ukraine, where he studied arts at a conservatory in the city of Odessa. His music recognition happened mid-2000 with their song: "Opera No.. 2". His fame crossed Russia, China and even countries Wests. Although Vitas is seen by some as Countertenor soprano, she sings operatic arias and pieces from the Baroque period and therefore can not be considered properly a "Countertenor." Vitas is rather a Tenor voice too sharp and lightweight. If it were an opera singer, Vitas probably would be classified as Leggero Tenor. He uses his falsetto far beyond your Chest Voice and Head Voice.

It's the soprano high C#, pretty amazing. I love Vitas. He has an amazing voice, awesome style, unique stage presence, and is simply one of the most beautiful man alive.

      I believe he really is. But to be a very sharp and hard to notice, he may have never played this done live. A E7 done by computer sounds different. This seems to have been done not by the guitar, which only goes to D7 inclusive, but by human voice. Still I appreciate your concern and also for assisting.

    I do not know why people are asking things about their voice range and type here, but since I see people are answering them pretty good, I will post here one. I used to think that I was a bass baritone. being a able to hit Bb1 still sounding chesty, E2 in full chest and up to E4 in chest but starting to struggle at C4. Now four years ago I decided to train my voice to be able to hit higher since my favorite genre is Hard rock(Led Zeppelin). Now I can hit up to Eb5 in belted chest, B5 in mixed, D6 in Head Voice, and E6 falsetto, once I hit what a program told me it was a G#6 and it was sustained just that it sounded terrible. The thin is my lower register also got stronger with training, now I can hit F#1 sounding chesty, and C2 in strong Chest. The thing is that my voice varies, sometimes I have an strong upper register and weak lower register making me think I am a Tenor or sometimes I have a weak upper register and strong lower register making me think I am a baritone. But when I get sick my voice goes lower. My timbre also varies from day to day. It tends to sound baritonish, but still I can fool people to make them think I am a tenor. So I do not know what my voice type is, If someone could help me I would be grateful.

    • @FrankyboyLegend
      @FrankyboyLegend Před 6 lety +4

      That is a G6 but the live performance is playback using a voice-activated trigger (so the acapella cuts on-and-off in real time). I would like to believe Vitas actually can hit high notes in the studio version but I still have doubts. The acapella for Nightingale has obvious pitch-correction and looping on the B5 note, for example.
      He also hits G6 in the intro and guitar impression outtro for "You're My Heart You're My Soul" on the same 2016 China Tour. It's even more apparent that this performance isn't live because the acapella intro is the exact same tempo from concert to concert which is impossible unless he has a metronome or backing track (also note he never wears in-ear monitors during concerts).
      EDIT: For some reason I wrote G5 I meant G6!

    • @FrankyboyLegend
      @FrankyboyLegend Před 6 lety +2

      Envy? I never once insulted Vitas (you'll see a lot worse in some of the Russian comments among others), but I take issue with his misleading, dishonest showmanship, especially the fact he employs that acapella-cut trick. I was unwilling to believe this at first but it became apparent in a few videos I watched and there is no escaping the truth. If he only lipsynced whole songs I wouldn't take as much issue with it, but at the same time, Dimash and Sergey Sorokin are able to sing similarly high notes live while Vitas has been using playback for most of his songs since his commercial debut.

    • @Moonynguyen2
      @Moonynguyen2 Před 6 lety +4

      Frank, envy is what all I feel from your comment, so I just let you know, may be you will consider what should do next. As you mentioned, the fact lip sync just are proved by your observing in "some videos" but you make them as the sum about Vitas, it's unfair. You can not make sure other pop stars not do that, they all do that in some cases with some reasons. Dimash or other singer should not be compared to each other, especially to Vitas in many thing not just voice, because everyone is the unique, and Vitas is the very unique talented artist in roles of composer, author and final as a singer. Be smart, if you don't love him just skip him alone, taking time to other ones you loved.

    • @FrankyboyLegend
      @FrankyboyLegend Před 6 lety +4

      I really don't understand why this is perceived as being envy. I try to face this controversy from a technical, analytical standpoint, and only after reaching a conclusion did I state an opinion as such. It was hard for me to say things like "Vitas is a fraud" or "shame on Vitas" which have sometimes been repeated by others that share my views.
      By "some videos" I was referring to those where he was filmed by the audience and a second voice can be heard behind the mic sounding nothing like the speaker output. This occurs in videos taken by different audience members around the world, so it isn't some one-off thing. Aside from this, many of his other videos are blatantly playback because the vocal sounds identical to the studio version (or otherwise have minimal alterations or alternate takes used). Then there are a few songs where he really does sing live and he doesn't sound close to the studio versions - for example Friendship, Inaccessible and the version of Bird of Happiness sung as duet with audience.
      I could say the same about Michael Jackson lipsyncing. MJ fans continue to argue over his lipsyncing ("he was unhealthy" or "he was just lazy") but that does not make them any less a fan of his music. In Billie Jean and other songs MJ would ask for the mic to be turned on for the final half. On the other hand, Freddie Mercury disapproved of lipsync that he did the opposite trick of Vitas - he would take away the microphone to prove he's using playback.
      The only reason I compared him to other singers was in terms of performer's integrity. I am not a big fan of Dimash or Sorokin either and even if Vitas' studio music has alterations I think the production and polishing is excellent, with many innovative sounds.

I can whistle from D6 to D7 but the problem is even though I have entered the 5th octave (C5-B5) I still feel some vibration in my throat. Is it still in mixed voice because I can't feel any vibration anywhere upon my head? Even at B5( the highest note in the 5th Octave) there's still vibration, I don't get it. The vibration only goes away when I hit C#6 and above (when I enter whistle register). Can someone explain this for me? I don't get it? Maybe I don't have head voice @@ ? I cannot deny that this guy can sing,,,,This boy can sing.... I hear the C#6s. I can perform the same falsetto C#6s but I prefer to use full Head Voice from C6 into G6....
    The Whistle Notes were done electronically - guitar or otherwise...because the timbre sounds very noticeably different from the human instrument....

    • @FrankyboyLegend
      @FrankyboyLegend Před 10 lety +1

      the staccato is because he's pulling the mic back and forth, but it's true he sometimes does staccato his voice while he moves the mic in this manner. In older concerts he sometimes just holds the note and on some concerts it sounds like his voice fades in and out smoothly, but for the recent concerts he does staccato while he moves the mic. Also I think a noise gate is used, anything below a certain volume is cancelled.

    • @ashrafsinclair6662

    • @FrankyboyLegend
      @FrankyboyLegend Před 8 lety +1

      +Ashraf Sinclair Unfortunately, now I'm convinced Vitas doesn't sing live in concert for most of his songs. Listen carefully in this video - you can hear his unamplified voice overlapping with the live vocal and that he's singing the high notes an octave lower: singing/watch?v=zNWhqSZAoJM In the real concert, the speaker output would far overpower this bad voice you hear. I went to one of his concerts a few years ago and was convinced he sang live, but started having doubts after seeing a few audience-filmed videos where an off-tune vocal is heard overlapping with the speaker output.
      What's going on is that the sound system triggers the playback of an acapella whenever he sings into the mic. So this mic trick can be done in real time and he can sing parts without it (which makes the illusion even more convincing). In older concerts the mic was more sensitive, so you get a more convincing transition without staccato. Here, this system fails because there is too much wind or background noise at 9:45 /watch?v=Mq6Uxr_4p9Y and here because he's clapping his hands with the mic (0:57) /watch?v=WS6o92yjQuQ
      I'm not bashing Vitas, but it's a huge disappointment. I still like his studio music but even then I still have some doubts - there were a few acapellas leaked out on VKontakte and you can hear pitch correction or fake note extensions.

      C2 is the hardest note that I can hit in fry, the lowest part that I can sing is roughly G2, F#2 is the last fry note and the lowest one that I can hit, but my tessitura lies between F3-G4, Passagio from F4-A4 I mostly sing down to A2. I can belt up to E5. my singing range excluding the fry is Between G2-D6. (G2-E5 without head voice, but mixed and belt)
      I used to have falsetto, but it progressed into head voice.
      My timbre is mid-light. I mostly sing from F3-C5 (up to B5)

    • @mjUK-fe3ro
      @mjUK-fe3ro Před 7 lety

      +John Miller Based on your description? I would say you're most definitely a tenor. Although, I can't state without proper observation.
      Vocal Fry doesn't really count as a register because the requirements for its production are non existent - the sound comes out effortlessly due to the fact that Vocal chords stay relaxed when notes in Vocal Fry are being produced. Also, vocal fry is pretty uncontrollable unless singer's voice is naturally placed low in the body, or it's singer's wish to practice lower register at great intensity. However, some (mostly men) are capable of mixing fry notes with their lowest, resonant chest notes, which extends vocal range up to 2/3 notes downwards.
      Considering your vocal range would go from G2 and
      up to F4 in chest voice. Then, your vocals should switch to a middle voice, which consists of roughly 3 notes, implying that the break between middle to head would take place at around C5. After that you'd fall into head voice, because middle voice extended up to E5? Unlikely, probably notes are obtained via unhealthy technique, you've had an amazing coach, or you're a freak of nature.
      And honestly, Falsetto progressing into head voice? That just doesn't happen, not without years of practice and focus of that very aspect. Unless, my theory is correct. And here it goes:
      Considering all the characteristics you have mentioned, I'd be more than surprised if you hadn't turned out to be a Leggiero Tenor, which would explain lower extension, easily obtained upper notes, light and Falsetto-like head voice.

    People must notice that nobody can sing every fuckin note. Range isn't the all thing.
    For example vitas has very large falsetto range but his chest range is so low. So he isn't tenor or if he is, he might be low tenor, high baritone (like me)
    Modal voice is your speaking voice. The true range is your modal voice, true range is your singing capacity without changing your voice's natural colour.
    For example my lowest chest is e2
    Highest chest is probably f4 or g4
    Btw i put my hands on my chest and if there is a vibration i consider them as a chest. Otherwise i can sing higher than with mixed voice and reinforced falsetto but it's not my real voice. It just false voice showing. My highest falsetto is e6 but i can't sing that note in a relax way or whenever i want. My throat must be clear and air must be clear also there must be another conditions. Only in this kind of situation i can hit that note.
    Finally, i want to say that nobody can't sing every note.
    If you're tenor you can't sing bb1 or c2. If you're baritone you can't sing d5. If you're soprano you can't sing f2. Got what i meant?
    There are many ways to sing this notes but i said it must be your real/modal voice. Cuz voice is produced by a muscle and everbody got different muscle type. Nobody has supernatural powers. Some rare occasions (like dimash kudaibergenov, cem adrian, nicola sedda, mike patton. They got longer voice muscles than most of humans in the world.) might be but generally it is like this.
    Edit: Wtf i was thinking when i wrote this ahaha
    Now i laught my old comment. I still agree about the real voice though
    People can be mistaken about that
    But having larger or longer vocal cords is a myth now i can say that.
