This video brings you the perks of studying British law from Bangladesh. British Law in itself is a challenging subject to study, and in addition studying abroad can be difficult so why not do it from home country.
Here's a little insight of my personal experiences while I pursued my LL.B (hons) from Bangladesh !

If I wanna move to UK and study British Law after A level.How many subjects should I take in A level for getting into prestigious Law School and do I have to do any other courses like (IELTS,SAT or TOEFL) for studying in UK?
Law and 2 other modules will be sufficient.
Some universities in the Uk will also accept Law and any other subject. To be on the safe side, take 3 A levels.

I think you are wrong in many aspects as i did LLB in English law from Bangladesh. i think for an average student doing LLB from Bangladesh is mistake as grade will be lower as well as they don't get the chance to learn practically . they are actually wasting their time on memorising . Secondly the chances of getting high marks on BPTC also depends on good command in English as well as in practical knowledge. finally from my experience those people complete BAR with pupilage from UK are getting more chances to involve with chamber in everywhere around the world from Bangladesh to UK. Those people did LLB from Bangladesh are getting very less chance in pupilage and end up as an unregistered Barrister.
Hello. Thank you for watching and thank you for your opinion. The video is based on personal experience, which necessarily need not match subjective opinions. Also as you mentioned students of Bangladesh gets lower marks, probably from your personal experience, however if I may remind you that students sitting for exam out of UK have a completely different set of question paper. Also please know as Bangladeshi citizen doing LLB from UK and then BPTC, does not necessarily or may I say in 99% of the times get a pupilage. Non-citizens are all “Called to The Bar of England and Wales” ie. called to be barristers, they are not “Barristers or practicing barrister” in the most practical sense.
Also the chance of working well in Bangladesh is again subjective based on your own keenness to hard work and dedication and achievements.
Again this comment is out of my own experience as being a Barrister myself. Thanks again for your time on watching the video.

LL.B complete korar for you will need to clear your Bar Council Bangladesh exam to practice in court.

I want to be a tax lawyer or An advocate. So I wanted to know that if I complete my LLB from any institutions of bd, then do my llm in UK or any country and then will I be eligible to sit for bar exams in any country?

Would it be counterproductive for someone to study Bangladeshi law, assuming they are interested in becoming a barrister in the future through the Bar Transfer Test or through a PGDL in Law and then BPTC after studying Bangladeshi LLB?
If you intend to become a barrister then I would suggest you to start with brutish law itself. Because doing the Bangladeshi law and then the British law will not only cost you extra money but will cost you an additional 3 years of your time.
So my advice will be, if you have not started studying law then start with British law. That way you will have the opportunity to become a barrister and also practice in Bangladesh.

There are many universities in UK which provides BPTC. Depends on your grades and application, which uni will accept you.

Yes you will be eligible to sit for the Bangladesh Bar Council Exam once you have cleared your British Law LL.B from University of London or other reputed British Law universities.

Hey ! If you study under UOL from Bangladesh then you will study under their University of London International Programmes wing, not under any particular university. The certificate has world class status that means it is globally accepted.
For BTT you will a student under BPP university.
Finally, because UK doesn’t give permanent work permit. You can work with uk chambers as long as you have your PSW visa.

I respect someone not pursuing their LLB in the UK due to financial constraints, but claiming an international programmes degree has no difference with a UK degree is very delusional.
Firstly a run of the mill LLB degree does not hold the same prestige as a degree from a renowned university. Doing your LLB from a Russell group university, or even Oxbridge if you have the capability to is certainly better than doing it at a distance learning centre where thousands of students are doing it every year. The prestige of the university is a major factor in this aspect.
Secondly, it's also very questionable when you say that the teaching quality and content is the same. In distance learning centres they give you handouts which you have to memorize and teachers give 'lectures' in a very A level-isque fashion. It is certainly not comparable to a traditional decent British uni's teaching where you actually have to dive into textbooks and utilise Westlaw and Lexis Library to access and read journal articles. The small group sessions that encourage discussion, critical analysis and independent study and research are also absent in the distance learning centres. My classmate who came to the UK in 3rd year from LCLS admitted how different and more challenging and fun it was studying in the UK.
Furthermore, saying that you were in your comfort zone is not necessarily a good thing. Studying for three years in the UK not only made me more self sufficient and confident in myself, it also made me appreciate the privileges that I have in Bangladesh.
However, I do agree with your statement that you'll be a fresh face. It can be hard to find a job fresh from the UK if you don't have any links. For anyone reading this, unless you have connections already, I would recommend doing your LLB at a distance learning centre for the first two years to build connections. Then you should transfer for your third year at a respectable uni in the UK. That way you get the prestigious degree, save on tuition fees and also experience university life in the UK. You also won't be surprised at how difficult the BTC (Bar training course) is since you will already be used to studying in the UK.
