- While Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever vs Dallas Sky Preseason game was being streamed, Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso's Chicago Sky vs Minnesota Lynx game was not showing anywhere! There has been massive outcry from Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso's Fans accusing the WNBA of discrimination. Why didn't they air the Game live?

What they wanted to do was show the white girl as the great white hope. The same one who lost two championships won to Angel Reese and the other to Cardoza. The same one that Raven Johnson shut down. This was disrespectful to not show the game.

Both of Fever's preseason games are being televised, both of The Sky's preseason ganes aren't.

Matter of fact, most of the preseason games aren't being televised or available on the league pass/app, but they made sure to get The Fever on TV.

Again if anyone thinks this wasn't deliberate you really naive. Reese and Cardosa are the two reigning MOP of the last two NCAA championships. That not marketable? FOH. They both mopped up Clark and her fans are steaming mad that these two didn't back off and let her win that ring. So this is backlash and punitive actions by the powers who want to satisfy their new white male audience who feel the need to rescue the damsel in distress. The WNBA wants to make dam sure these two Reese and Cardosa don't grow in popularity over Princess Cate so they gonna hide the champions professional debuted and force Clark on the fans by acting like she is the champ. That's not an error it's market manipulation to make a profit. They had all these people sign up for the WNBA app under the guise that they were going to have all the out of market games on the app then take your money then tell you the game was not going to be televised but then direct you to watch Clark's game...that's no accident that's deliberate. Its a push marketing strategy to push all fans in Clarks direction and take your money to see Reese and Cardosa while doing it. I'd file a deceptive advertising complaint to the Federal Trade Commission. I bet the 200K people that watch that game on the iPhone stream were the same fans who put up their $7.00 dollars to catch Reese and Cardosa. If that's the case they got pimped played and hustled for 1.4M dollars...that's capitalism 101 straight up.

Well then show up on their game like Clark fans. They sold out all IOWA games since late 2022. Only her jersey sold out before the draft. All Indiana games were sold out. Fans of Reese don't show up, did you see how few watched sky game? It's business of course they will feature the game full of people to promote WNBA. It will not help Reese and Cardoso if they stream their game with less than 200 people in there watching. Instead of whining show up to the game to support her.

They might sell out when CC comes to Minnesota, but you're not acknowledging the person's points about the other players. They may not have the draw of CC, but they also have a passionate and pissed fan base.

Did you do any research So the wnba don’t have any money. They just got a 64 million dollar streaming tv contract last year. From Disney ,Amazon prime,and several companies and increase to 87 million the last two years of that five year contracts with these companies.Then ion tv give them 27 million last year to broadcast so many of their games for the next three years. O that same money is the same money is that just paid clark and other rookies their contracts this year . But they don’t have any money huh?

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed that it appears that the only way I'll be able to watch the Thrilla Kamilla is when they play against the Fever. The WNBA has 3 amazing fresh combos in the league (Cardoso/Reese, Brink/Jackson, and Boston/Clark) and they are putting all of their eggs into one single basket. Do they not understand the power of an SEC fanbase following great players (from the last 2 Natty teams) into the W?

I have the wnba league pass, which i also had lasr year. I also bought tickets to see them olay in NY, which is at least a 3 hour drive and means i have to take off 2 days of work.
Washington's arena seats less than 5000 fans and tickets were close to $100.

The Sky Communication team doesn't exist, they are terrible. People just want something to complain about when their player isn't featured- CC has the highest media market draw of any professional player in recent history. Money trumps any other player at this stage of the game. Everyone, like it or hate it, needs to just chill out and accept that fact. Many would like to hear more about Kate Martin(CC's best friend and teammate in two national championships), but there is very little out there for Kate. It's just something everyone has to accept. So much more media for Angel and Cardoso than Kate, but again, there is more marketing draw for the other two black players than Kate, not racial, just where the bigger market draw is currently.

Catlin Clark and Iowa also eliminated these 2 gals and there teams the last 2years. Stopped South Carolina in 2023 and did away with LSU in 2024. Iowa s average finish was just as good as either one of those two teams soblets get off the BS of rings are the only thing that counts. Was it right that Chicago's game was not televised probably not but some of the Catlin Clark haters are full of it . People watched the college games more to see Clark score yhan to see her win . If the other 2 girls hadn't won the championships most people wouldn't even knew who the were.

CC is very popular, but having Angel Reese be the villain to her damsel also made both of them very recognizable.

Then look at how they have this show coming out about CC, Kamilla and another player next week with limited advertising.

That one sold out stadium isn't going to advance the league. They need viewership across the board and this year's draft class can deliver it beyond just Clark. The W is dropping the ball big time. I'm a South Carolina alum and fan and I have no interest in watching Clark exclusively. Sure, I'll watch a game or two, but I want to see Cardoso/Reese more. Believe it or not, there are a lot of us true fans who would follow them from the NCAA to the WNBA if given a chance. The SEC fanbase is strong. The CC fan base is riding the bandwagon and if the W keeps dropping the ball, the wheels will come off of that bandwagon pretty fast and then the W will be back at ground zero (with less chance of drawing fans since they decided to ignore a large fan base for the sake of one player).
That's because NO ONE cares about the Chicago Sky. When they won the Championship NO ONE came to their "celebration." Stands were empty. Less than 1/5 of the arena had fans in it. Caitlin Clark's game had about 90% capability. No one outside of LSU or Chicago gives a rats ass about Angel Reese and her 2 ft jump shots and lay ups
