You know you're OP when the robot holding a demon lightsaber says he "can't kill you".
I doubt that he couldn't kill him with a crucible sword. I think that by "I can't kill you" he means that either he is grateful that doomguy saved Mars from Hell and doesn't want to murder him, or Samuel doesn't want to kill him, because if something again goes wrong (as it had in the doom eternal) the doomguy will be the only chance to stop it. And Hayden was correct as always.
@@ik2254 no doom guy is actually immortal. he can not be killed. he is actually a semi god now.

handsome jack was a hero and good guy vault hunters where villian and bad guy
I mean, he really isn't since he brought the relic to stop the invasion of hell on earth,
@White knight Well initially Jack isolated the angel because he was afraid she could lose control again and someone would take her away from him. During the events of the pre sequel he was consistenly brought to madness: his boss was being his boss, her ex tried to kill him without even trying to explain him why his idea of killing everybody on Pandora was not a good idea, Lilith and Roland went directly into the murder route without trying to understand a man who was clearly broken and needed someone who could listen to him, but they did it to any other sort of scum. And finally Lilith punched in his skull an ancient artifact which was giving him visions. Combine the last part with all that has happened to him and you'll see that this was the moment he could not go back; years passed and he did all the thing mentioned before and during the events of borderlands 2. He saw his daughter as an instrument but in his own twisted way he cared for her. Jack wasn't a villain but an antihero.
Yeah. It's really less of a betrayal and more of a "I'm-giving-you-a-head-start" type of thing.

He wasn't sent to hell. More like he was sent somewhere else and that was the satellite that VEGA controlled.

So we don’t really know what happened from this point till doom eternal starts. Maybe they will release single player content to show us how doom guy escaped hell and came back for Hayden?
They never really said where Samuel sent the Doom Slayer. Just teleported somewhere where he can't interfere.
Hayden teleported Doom Slayer at some safe place with no enemies at all
Far away
There are clues, mostly the "junk" in the doom slayers room within the fortress. I think there are some items from the Kadingir Sanctum. It took him a few years to return to the mars base, because at that point Samuel was no longer there (otherwise Hayden wouldn't have made it back to earth). He raided whatever he pleased from the argent base and used it's teleporters to go and find where ever the FoD was(or maybe he raided it afterward, but there is a storage unit for an argent cell and the soul cube among other things at his work station).
>Theory
Samuel never betrayed the Slayer. In fact, he helped him. He couldn't outright tell him who he really is (For reference search "Samuel Hayden and Samur Makyr") without the Khan knowing. I theorize that Samuel sent the Slayer back to his base.
Probably sent him to a Sentinel world to find and commandeer a war ship. Allowing him to swiftly travel from one front to another.
@@shieldsxreflex idk if you mean the fortress of doom or Samuels base, but yes, he didn’t explicitly tell the slayer who he was, but did make it obvious by completely obsessing over himself and how holy he was. But the khan maykr was dead during the dlc so idrk
I personally liked this ending way more than Eternal, including the DLC's. The fact that we still haven't found out where Hayden sent the Slayer after DOOM 2016 is really disappointing.
Presumably back to Hell. I wonder if id had more backstory planned in another piece of media or something, or if the plan was always to have us speculate to fill in the blanks. If it was indeed Hell then we can imagine that he had those Night Sentinels' spirits and Vega's backup help him somehow to get from Hell to the Fortress of Doom.
dude eternal's ending was dope af, him killing the icon of sin and slowly walking away as "at doom's gate" plays
Probably he send him back to argent D'nur, (Not the hell-ish part of the planet the centinel part) And there the slayer could get the fortress of doom.
He teleported the Slayer to the Fortress of Doom. Slayer used VEGA to get the fortress back online but it took a while. In the meantime Hayden got rekt on Earth.

At the end of the first mission, Haydens mind returns to his original Maykr body, and him and the Slayer seek out the fathers life orb to eliminate the demins from Urdak. However, The Doom Slayer (For a good reason) betrays Hayden aka Seraphim, and his body starts to become unstable and becomes Samur, the father’s loyal servant.
