This is the side of hunters/hunting that many people don't understand. We don't always need to harvest an animal for it to be a very successful adventure. You knew immediately that you weren't going to shoot that buck, and that speaks volumes. He was a gorgeous buck, that would've caused many to act foolishly. Big bucks make people stupid sometimes. I love your channel. Maybe one day I can enjoy this style of hunting. PA doesn't lend itself to big woods tracking like your neck of the woods. Rarely is there snow during rifle season anymore. Until then, I'll keep hunting this way vicariously through you. Be safe out there.

What an incredible video, watching the buck scratch his back with his antlers was amazing. Really enjoy your videos, especially the filming while tracking, excellent!

Awesome footage, Cory! The hunt is not exclusively about the kill. Some of my greatest hunting memories are just leaving the weapon down and watching deer do their thing.

Sometimes you’re just not ready for it to be over that quickly. November only comes once a year, and as I get older they all seem to go by quicker. It’s best to pack as much adventure and memories in as we can, someday thats all we’ll have are those memories. You’ll remember that one the rest of your days.

Awesome video. Incredible buck. For you I think that was a great call on not shooting him. Nice young buck, you've given him a chance to live a little longer and to become smarter. You need to find an older wiser buck to challenge your skill level. Love that you appreciate the essence of the hunt, it's what it's all about. Thank you for your videos and God bless ❤️🇺🇲

Good statement at the end! Hunting is about our own experience, not to impress others. Although, it does seem like alot of guys are about outdoing eachothers weight and antler spread , I personally could care less. I think hunting is a very personal thing. Humility.

Im 44 years old and i killed my first deer 🦌 buck at 13 year's old and it scored 146 5/8 at north Carolina dixie deer classic in 1993 and was awarded biggest buck in north Carolina by youth ! It was an exciting time with newspapers and being on news etc. And it was a proud moment in my life ...
I have since been an avid hunter and have harvested several 150+ bucks but as i get older i have less desire to put an arrow through these brilliant majestic resilient animals , they're amazing creature's . I tell myself i am good with harvesting old mature bucks that are up in age and looking the retirement home so to speak but then i think this old buck has survived 5-8+ year's and i would be honored to take a buck of that maturity yet ive realized that they are more beautiful on the hoof than on the wall and apart of mejust wants to film the deer 🦌 and make videos/ take photos etc. I really have had a change ofheart abdhow i look at hunting as I've matured and gotten older and now i think im gonna start really challenging myself more and try to have the most up close encounters and hunts i can ! I think i am gonna try to actually sling bow hunt with a sling bow that shoots around 150-180+ fps depending on arrow build ... i think this will allow me to have closer encounters and be efficient and effective atclose range 20-30 yards max ! I really just feel like if im gonna harvest a deer i need to start challenging myself more and i believe a sling bow is as effective as any traditional bow & arrow ! I really think videos of the deer that you can look at anytime without killing is just as good as a wall mount !
