"Oye Como Va" from the album Abraxas, by Santana, 1970
Recorded at RaxTrax Recording in Chicago, IL
You've got to be kidding me! This is fantastic! Everyone! Instruments, vocals, production....and that lead guitar! Carlos Santana would be proud! I hope he's seen it!
These kids are incredible. I have never seen such coordination and musicianship that early in life
When I first clicked on this, I wasn't sure how it was going to go, because they are "little kids". 5 seconds into it... I'm blown away! Great job, very impressive for this age group.Keyboard solo great! Guitars, percussion, vocals all awesome. Happy day!😊
If I saw this live my mind would have been blown
Absolutely love this video. These kid sounded so great. The lead guitarist and girl on keyboards just killed it!!!!!!
The bassist is great too. Holding down the groove deep in the pocket. Nice!
The bandana guitarist kills, couldn't imagine being that small with a full-size guitar
He amazes me everytime I watch this. Can someone check inside his mouth at +/- 0:25, does he have a tongue piercing? The scene goes by very very fast. Doesn't take away his talent, just makes him very cool ;-)
Li'l Carlos Jr., just another day at the office . . . what else u want me to play for u ? Loved it !
The girl on the keyboard reminds me of Ray Manzarek.
@@ubisuck Good eye! Something definitely metallic looking in there.
Just totally amazing for kids this young to play this great!!! Fantastic job kids!!!!!
WOW! I'm a 50 year music vet and I think these kids are Awesome! BIG KODOS to every one of them. 👍👍
I love the grin on the keyboardist's face at 1:58, "My solo's coming up!"
I noticed too. She is excellent and excited.
What is this? A prodigies show? OMGGGG!! Each kids performed like a professional!! Oh Boy!!!
Wow! Has Carlos seen this? These kids did a fantastic preformance. Thank you for sharing these talented musicians with us.
Pure WOW! I've seen Santana live 10 times since 1975, but I just wanted to say this guitar player here is so good. I also play guitar and this kid can play, he is smoking on this song. Amazed!!!
Yes. Totally! That dude is totally nailing it!
10 times! Wow! I first saw them in 1973, Auckland Civic Theatre - and you could not find a better venue for Santana. Go find some of the photos - mind-blowing place for mind-blowing music!!
@@GedMaybury23 Ok I'll search for the Auckland place.
I still remember one of the first times that I heard Santana, it was Evil Ways. I must have been 8 or 9. OMG, I was dancing and just grooving! After that, all I wanted was to get a guitar and play like Carlos!! He is da man!!

@@GedMaybury23 You still remember that from 1973? I'm amazed. That's an awesome and beautiful place to have seen Carlos and his band.
I am so impressed & encouraged by these students/performers. I am a musician and music instructor, and I'm so uplifted when my students give a perfect performance at a recital. The stress and tension of performing for an audience or for recording equipment & cameras can be immense. BRAVO! To all of you!!
As a man of God these kids are unbelievable . Just look at the joy on their faces . amazing performance. The Almighty would have been foot tapping with a grin all across his face. Take a bow young musicians you deserve it. May God keep you all safe.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! A lot of raw talent and hard work are displayed here! Kudos for not abusing the voices of these young vocalists!
A classic song that I still love 53 years later. Language is no barrier to a classic song. These kids don't look to be anymore than 11 to 13 years old at the most but they nailed this one big time. Amazing talent.
Lead guitarist kid...YOU ROCK, Man. You kick ass!!! Organ solo is top notch also.
ALL of the School of Rock groups do an outstanding job of covering the songs they choose to perform!! You can tell they are very talented musicians.
Terrific! Thanks, kids. You're excellent musicians and vocalists, and you bring new life to an old standard. I always like listening to the School of Rock!
I saw Santana live in the 60’s and you kids absolutely nailed this. Unbelievable talent. You are all amazing!
Aside from the fact that the lead guitarist and keyboard player are fantastic, the band is terrific. Love this video. . This not an easy song to cover and they killed it !!!!!!!!!!!!
The guitarists and keyboardist did really well!
This makes me so happy and gives me hope seeing these younger kids playing good music instead of the over saturated crap we hear All the time in the mainstream Rock on 🤘
I am grinning ear to ear! This is amazing! What a great performance -- totally nailed it.
REALLY impressed with this group of kids! I wish I could have been playing Rock at 11 or so, but I was stuck with a cello and 8 notes with 'Canon in D'. I started Guitar 2 years later, and Bass a year after that, but these kids are already better than when I was at my peak at 21!
I'm 70 and I'm stunned. Rock on!
Thanks for keeping the Classics alive kids. You rock!
great job on the guitar kid w headband & keyboard girl. All did a great job.
These kids are amazing, There is a lot going on in that song whoever their teacher is kudos. Carlos Santana would be very proud, Tears of joy thank you🙂🙂🙂✌️✌️✌️
This was a wonderful performance. Keep it up kids!! And for those commenting on enthusiasm issues - they are kids not professional musicians! they react differently than adults, especially when performing in an unfamiliar studio for the first time ever - I would bet many adults would react the same way if this was their first time in a studio as well - the fact that they could play so well despite the nerves is a huge thing. Great performance again! Hope to see more!!
It's great. They all know their parts. Im impressed.
Organ solo very precisely played!
What's so great about this is that I swear that most of the kinds are not even teenagers yet they play this song as well as they do. Incredible !!
Fantastic
Rock ON!!!! You kids were GREAT! That was one impressive performance and all the work you put into this really showed.
That was awesome I am a musician over 40 years and a Audio Engineer I can see the passion in these kids and there having fun I would love to see these kids backing Santana with this song that would be Epic
Wow! I really enjoyed this! There is no fear of us running out of good music makers. To see young people interested in this kind of music is heart warming,
Great to see there are still kids nowadays that appreciate and are able to make real music. And with instruments instead of computers. So there is still hope for the future! Great job guys👍
Compliments and greetz from a 63 y/o drummer from Holland
Haters GO AWAY !!! These young men and women are to be saluted for their capabilities and what the give back to their audience. If you don’t like something - move on... Constructive criticism always welcomed I’m sure but hating just to hate - just GO AWAY !!!
Encourage and nurture talent like this, don’t discourage and criticise - nothing in life is achieved by negativity. Great version and they enjoyed it. Enough said.
Great talented young kids. Such a great song!
Quanta coragem, ousadia e atrevimento.... e, claro, interpretar Santana/ Carlos com tanta qualidade. Parabéns!
They're really good!!! Especially the bandana guitarist who is mind blowing and the amazing redhead girl on the keybord!
I can only imagine what these kids become when they grow up. Wish I had programs like this at their age.
So cute. Love the way the kids are smiling 🥰
Love the way the female vocalists dance to the music between vocal cues.
Absolutely awesome..Bravo kids
What an EXCELLENT way for these youngsters to enjoy the benefits of TEAMWORK. The fine playing aside, there's no way such a thing gets pulled off without everybody doing their part. It's why I've always been so glad to have learned some music when young.
¡GRANDIOSO!
¡MUCHAS GRACIAS!
Whow. This has got to be the coolest "Brrrrr" ever. Love this song a lot, so thankyou for performing it that way that you did!
i grew up listening to this because my dad would put it on, I'm 30 and absolutely love this song still and he was in a Santana covers band and some of the members were not THIS good , this has blown me away
So Young and So Talented!!
pushing 70yrs old, music defined my generation. maybe there's hope for the future after all. thanks SoR, great music, great job
En Colombia decimos "Impresionante" me quedo sin palabras, al ver tocar a estos niños en especial al guitarrista y qué decir de la niña que interpreta el teclado. " Excelente señores de la Escuela del Rock !!!
the smiles aren't far away,Jacqueline to the organ steal the show lol
Love the bass player. He is so young but has already mastered the Bill Wyman look of total indifference !!
Bass players, right? 🙄
Oh yeah !@@user-kk1ne9wf7j
I'm loving the 'Zombie To-Do List' T-shirt.
Also, great performance form a bunch of kids whose combined age is ten years younger than me.
I’m 29 and antsy about covering this. Amazing ! Santana would love this !
I'm in love with these kids! Carlos Santana would be very proud!
Who could dislike this? A cool bunch of kids between the ages of 9 n 12 playing a song that’s 50 years young , it’s great :)
These are the younger kids at School of Rock. They are doing pretty darned good.
That one handed key board solo!!!
and she's only 9 at the time
...same way Greg Rolle played it!!!
I like the finger drag from the black key to the white key. Nice technique.
This song was written by Tito Puente. I had the pleasure of seeing him in person in Tulsa OK. I've also seen Santana at CMAC in Up State NY.
Insecure and then confidence what their teacher learned them!! It is a incredible achievement ! They are young artists! Keep up the good work boys and girls. You are the new gold for the future!!!
Little singer girl in the red top is the cutest ever, she's totally into it.
Love this!!! Rock on little ones, youth music is where it's all at!!!!
WOW!!! Unbelievable Youth!! SUCH TALENT. LOVED THIS RENDITION OF A FAVORITE ❤
What kind of loser gives this a thumbs down? These kids are very young, pre teen and they are killing it. Amazing. I was in bands for years and we didnt sound this good sometimes. The lead guitar is damn good.
Man! 9, 10, 11 & 12! I can't even play like this after 30+ years! Good for these kids! Rock!
OUT OF THIS WORLD GUYS. EXCELLENT JOB!!!!!
Li'l Carlos Jr., just another day at the office . . . what else u want me to play for u ? Loved it !
Wow !! This was great and makes me so happy that kids are playing it ! Awesome job and keep up the great work !!! Keep rock alive
How incredibly good is that, please, and that with these young artists.
great cover kids.....wow lead guitar amazing job, key board way to go to everyone
There is hope for the World after all with talent like this so young, incredible job
This was a great version of a masterful song... If you close your eyes and just listen,. Sounds very
similar to Santana live... It's a great song everyone has fun. Props to the young people playing at his level. * Clapping *
Wow, amazing! Great musicians.
Waaoo! Estoy impresionada 🤩 muy bien cordinados ya son expertos en tocar instrumentos a la perfección,,Santana estaría feliz de escucharlos.. aplausos para todos ustedes.. Felicidades 👏👏👏👏👏 jovencitos @s.. Bravo desde México 🇲🇽✌️🎸🙋🏻♀️
I have two daughters (ages 6 & 10) and if I would ever see them take part in something as wonderful as this, i would be the proudest dad on the face of the planet ! These kids are amazing 🙂👍🏻
Your kids might have hidden talents. Ask them if they would like to learn to sing or play musical instruments. There might be a School Of Rock near you. They are at the perfect age to start learning music.
The drummer had some serious fills, well done.
Wow ! Talk about a School of Rock ! All of their students are Great at a young age and only improve as they get older !
That was amazing. The music sounded great and your energy and vibe is infectious. I think you're making a lot of people here smile:)
Definitely the youngest team that I've seen and they did a marvelous job on one of my favorite Santana songs!!
Mind-blowing. So young, and those tricky guitar runs! And great integration of so many instruments! Wonderful! And so young!
Love This, Love these kids, Love this program
Wow all soooo young and they killed it. Well done all around. Has to be some proud parents around there.
People in the comments keep saying the look bored and stuff but no. The kids are having fun and being passionate about this and I’m saying I can see it when they all start dancing and yes they’re smiling often. Also they keep straight faces cause they are most likely concentrated on playing their instruments or singing. And these kids are young and don’t deserve to be criticized at, THEY HAVE EXTREMELY GOOD TALENT!!
Omg I get triggered :/
Very impressive! You can see the intensity of the effort in their faces. I am sure they were all smiles after this performance; I wish this video included that part too.
These kids have it! Como va? Bien, mucho gracias!
Love to see all these old people perform with such ease..... It's true that age is just a number. I tip my 🎩
Its only the vocals that give their age away, they're awesome, keep rockin' kids!
Been watching School of Rock videos all morning. All of them have been good; this one is great. Keep up the good work kids, have fun with your music.
Ok, kid on lead guitar has a very bright future. Outstanding
This is on point! Great job!
I could tell in about 5 notes this was going to be killer...…..great job kids !!!
These musicians are FABULOUS!
That’s really good ! The keyboardist is on her game , fun
These kids are great! Love them. 👍
Outstanding version! They're so young!
This is just so darling! They really kicked ass on this song. It's heartwarming to see 9 or 10 year olds doing adult things but still being kids. They're doing their best to dance like they've seen on TV but their little bodies are not quite agile enough. I've watched this many times and it's just so cute. Love those back-up singers. Reminds me of my own kids when they were that age.
Lead guitar kids is way ahead of his years. Bright future for him.
These kids are doing a really great job! Amazing!
