I think Exo stayed it considering their tight schedule and from lack of sleep. Their high notes were hit almost perfectly, dancing was great, rapping was on point. Sure there may have been some 'out of breath moments' and at some points it was a bit sloppy but they are human and they have their limits...so I'm really proud of them and considering that they didn't even lip sync much of it. They done extremely well.

A lot of people are forgetting that when EXO performed at the 5th GaonChart K-Pop Awards they were in the middle of their U.S. tour. The U.S. is pretty far from South Korea so they are obviously jet lagged and to add on to that they are pretty busy. I find it funny how people are bashing them for the most pathetic reason. They were SUPER busy in February so obviously they looked tired. They do much better than American boy groups (to be honest). They dance, sing, rap, and etc. They work their butts off only to have a comment section full of hate. In my eyes I believe that they did perfect under their circumstances (being in the middle of a tour in a different continent, traveling back and forth, and practicing 24/7). Wake up and stop judging them because they did a better job than any of you haters will ever be able to do.

Even though they were tired, they still slayed. Especially Baekhyun, he really shined in this performance. His voice is so stable and also his dance was on point, baekhyun could make it as one of the dancers in exo. Maybe not freestyle dance, but he's really good.

But no, they needed to perform, after almost 15h flight, jetlagged and tired from concert. I really hope they'l get some rest, cause it's painful to watch them.

In my opinion that they didn't know they are going to wins award in time they schedule for USA tour.
+A.KA. They announced USA concerts in december I think, which is the very end of the year. By then everybody's seen numbers, it was obvious how great of a success EXODUS album was. Knowing how meticulous SM is, they must've predict (or already knew) EXO will be called out for sure. That's why they made the break between LA and Chicago long enough for them to fly back to Korea. Ah, those people, making our babies work their asses off like this.

I don't think it's only EXO that did a so-so job during this award show. If you guys listen to the other performances, the sound system that's being used is not fair to the artists. And from what I've experienced, the headmics are the worst kind of microphones cuz there's a higher chance of the artist sounding bad than with a handmic. Even Baekhyun, Chen and D.O sounded bad at one point or another which is suuuuper surprising considering the amount or vocal control these guys have! And yes, they looked tired as well :/
Actually they were really tired they came back from their Tour in America and they were in Japan before that if I think and and some other places so I think they did their best as always.👏 From a very proud Exo-L✊😣 💟🙆

All this awards show did was showcase how much kpop stars need REST. Goddamn they all looked so exhausted (other groups too, not just EXO), and no amount of makeup or light shows can mask that. Their crazy schedules are clearly taking their toll on all of them. They did so well under the circumstances, but doing well under bad conditions isn't the same as doing well in general. Why aren't companies taking care of their stars (bluntly, their money makers) better?! It's ridiculous.

Did you see BTS's performance? They honestly looked like they were about to fall asleep, and if you watch the most recent video from BTS's channel, you can see that Jimin is sleeping in the background. Every group looks so tired, I hope that EXO, SNSD, BTS, and every other group gets to have a rest soon, whether it be just a week off, or a day.
Red Velvet Sone A lot of people on BTS's performance video seemed to be like "but they had a lot of time off recently!" Yeah, that doesn't make up for bad sleeping, eating and time out schedules. It's better than nothing at all, but definitely not anywhere near how they should be treated. All the groups definitely need better schedules if only for their health, never mind that they're human beings and deserve it!
I'm sure that when they were on their time off, they were harassed by some of their fans, which is why they must be tired. Also, on their time off, they were probably spending time with their family and friends, trying to spend every moment with them, which is why they are so tired now.

I gained lots of respect for Baekhyun that I didn't have before. The guy can nail everything while dancing like everyone else, wow. Also love how Chen managed to get back to full power singing after the initial disaster in Call Me Baby, and Xiumin obviously was amazing, but Baekhyun managed to really surprise me.
I'm a lot of years too late but i just want to say that Xiumin's stable performance in this was so understated. BaekSoo was amazing as always, especially Baek, very stable vocals but Xiumin was using a hand held microphone, dancing and his voice was still really stable. Just saying. All in all, AMAZING performance from the boys as usual. EXO, saranghaja

Guys Exo is on an American Tour and they had to fly to Korea(16hours) and come back to the US and they have a concert today... thats why they seem tired :/ Exo fighting! 💕

I can hear their breathing and I can't enjoy it as much as I wanted to cause they are EXHAUSTED. I went to their LA concert it was daebak but they have to go back to Korea for this award. Then comeback again here in the US for their Chicago concert. Me thinking about it is already exhausting what more for this boys. poor boys~
They are so tired but this performance is still one of my favorites cause they managed to pull off an amazing performance! And I have to say that Baekhyun absolutely amazed me, his voiced sounded really great even if he was exhausted, he has such control! Amazing!

Everyone says they are tired but I feel like they are pretty stable, people are just very used to listening edited versions of the live stages. Like they are not compromising on the dances at all and the part they crack or feel breathless is pretty in accordance to their dancing. However, I think Exo is a lot better these days anyways, not that they were bad 8 years ago. I personaly prefer hearing this version to any mnet stage where they dont even sing most of the time due to company policies. Baekhyun kills with that highnotes although sometimes failing to catch his breath, Chen feels a bit nasaly but I think he overcame that flaw these days, plus he was still stable if we think about how much line he has. Raps were fine, the backtrack was a bit in our face. Xiumin and Kai had a good job doing their limited lines. Kyungsoo is great. I feel like Suho wasnt bad here but he is so much better nowdays like it doesnt compare Bravoo

From Jan 26 to Feb 14, is when they had their North American tour. I was there at the concert on Feb14 in LA and with Suho telling us all of their concerts are back to back and then they have to fly by to Korea in between to attend award shows. Of course, it is us the fans that they don't have any break, but they are going to all these schedules because they want to prove to us that they love us as much as we love them. We shower them and brought them up the light, and they step and pulls us with. Give and take, that is why they are so popular. Of course every celebrities do the same. But some just have crazier and wilder fans. Lol.

To me personally this performance was perfect as always because they put thier hearts in every single performemce they do. We as exo-ls should appreciate their tired performences even more than those energetic ones cuz they do it for us. They come back on stage even with a broken leg or injury or tiredness or anything, they don't hesitate and that's why I'm proud to be an exo-l. Exo fighiting!!
