I wrote Away In A Manger on Christmas Day of 1968. I was just 2 but I already knew I loved the precious Jesus born in Bethlehem long ago. I was in Angola 🇦🇴 that year and this song 🎵 was originally written in Afrikaans and it was translated by the Amercan ambassador at our embassy there.
The harmony is great but the message greater. I still miss Jim Brady singing with the Booth Brothers.
