Drive To See The Largest Steam Train In The World. Union Pacific Big Boy.

Come take a short drive to Colfax California where the Union Pacific Big Boy Locomotive will be passing through on it's way back to Cheyenne Wyoming. This is a Rare opportunity to see this 600 ton Giant. Unfortunately due to a mishap on the track near to Auburn that caused some damage to the Engine, the train did not make its scheduled stop in Colfax. I hope you enjoy this short video. There used to be a 7 1/4 inch gauge Big Boy (X4008 William Jeffers) at a railway in Cornwall UK and it was massive! Can’t imagine what the full size version looks like…
Sadly (for the UK) the Forest Railway (Cornwall) is no more and the locomotives have now gone to Australia - where they seem mostly to be in storage…
